Hospitality Lead – Paul Gladd
Paul Gladd has over twenty years’ experience in the hospitality industry with extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, development, hotel management, asset management and accounting for hotel properties. Mr. Gladd is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Owner of dpM Partners, a full-service hotel development services entity with clients that include Marriott International Inc., Hilton Hotels Inc., Starwood Hotels Inc., and Apple REIT (see dpmpartners.com for a comprehensive list of services provided). Additionally, Mr. Gladd is a principal in the hotel development entity Presidential Hotel Investors (“Presidential”), a development fund created for the purpose of developing upper tier select-service and upscale full-service hotels under major brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Starwood and Hyatt. In its short life, Presidential has successfully developed five hotels with three more under development.
Most recently, Mr. Gladd was the managing member and advisor for Alliance Hospitality LLC, a strategic development and management joint venture focused on the hospitality industry. The primary joint venture partners of this alliance are Armada Hoffler Corporation, a leading full service real estate and construction organization, and Barceló Crestline Corporation, a leading hotel operating and management organization.
Previously, Mr. Gladd was Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Development with Crestline Hotels & Resorts and its parent company Barceló Crestline Corporation. Mr. Gladd joined Crestline Capital Corporation as Vice President of Acquisitions and Development after the public spin-off of Crestline Capital by Host Marriott Corporation. While in this capacity, Mr. Gladd was instrumental in the growth of Crestline Capital to an industry leader.
Mr. Gladd joined the Marriott Corporation in 1990 in the Partnership Services Group and provided financial reporting and asset management services for over one hundred select-service properties and ten full-service hotels. He subsequently moved on to the Host Marriott Corporation to work in acquisitions and development, where he successfully closed on over twenty acquisitions totaling over $500 million during his tenure with Host Marriott.
Mr. Gladd serves on the board of the American Shakespeare Center, a non-for-profit theater company located in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. He previously served on Starwood Corporation’s Development Board of Advisors for it’s Aloft and Element branded select-service hotels.
A graduate of Virginia's James Madison University where he received degrees in Accounting and Finance, Mr. Gladd is married and resides in Potomac, Maryland with his wife and two daughters.

dpM Partners, LLC is a leading lodging industry and real estate consulting firm specializing in project management, development services, architectural review, and engineering oversight. dpM provides hotel owners, developers, asset managers and property management companies with turnkey solutions from predevelopment services through construction and project turnover/closeout. dpM projects vary from ground-up construction, full renovation and repositioning to historical restoration work, portfolio CAPEX planning, and asset protection. dpM assignments vary from estimating and feasibility to an array of development services, including site selection, zoning and entitlement, selection and oversight of design professionals, brand recommendations, technical services relating to each brand, FF&E coordination, debt compliance and development accounting. dpM also offers a comprehensive project management program and owner representation.
