Off Hour Computer ActivityAs staff leave – on startup at the end of the day new software or changes to software are installed on computers that need the updates. After/before hours- tech staff remotely access computers to work on service requests6:00 pm till 1:00 am - user files are backed up to our backup servers10:00 pm - security updates are installed on computers; some require a restart of the computer. The computers restart automatically after the update.1:30 am to 3:00 am – Symantec Antivirus checks every file on each computer hard drive and removes viruses and spy ware that it finds.2:00 am – Computer hard drives are defragmented every Tuesday. In addition to the above schedule we have plans for scheduling and running other maintenance utilities on computers to get them running to their optimal operating efficiency.
