Autumn Beginnings at Sheila Ray Autumn is a time of endings, but it is also a time of beginnings. We end summer with memories of fun-filled vacations, hot days, and summer cook-outs! Fall is here with colorful leaves, welcome cool breezes, and new beginnings at Sheila Ray.

Not only was Sheila Ray buzzing with activities this past summer; our Center was a great place to beat the heat. Both our Twenty Questions Contest and Dartball Special Events were fun-filled and challenging. Our members came out and proudly supported our Fundraisers at Coach’s Corner enjoying good food and great ambiance.

Put on your dancing shoes as Big Band nights return to the Pavilion in September! Don’t forget to sign up for our Monthly Luncheons enjoy the exciting menus and memorable entertainment. Join us at Arlington Park Racetrack for this year’s Senior Day. Find a great deal at our September Rummage Sale.

Become a Star as part of our Sheila Ray Spotlight, where you can share your thoughts on being a member. For the Young at Heart, for those that are 90 years or better at our 90th Celebration. Join Rod and Diana Marino for our new dominos group. Sign up today and be a part of the fun!

The focus will be to have an enjoyable experience regardless of one’s writing ability. The format for each session will involve discussion and writing in a friendly environment. The park district mission is “To provide safe and innovative parks and recreation opportunities.” The mission is the purpose and defining what makes us unique. The Vision for the Park District “Go Beyond the Expected”. The Advisory Board along with the staff is working to develop our very own mission and vision statement.
