Global Shea Alliance members have established our primary objective to improve the incomes of 16 million women shea collectors and processors across Africa. The support and development of women’s groups is critical to improving efficiency and quality, establishing traceable supply chains, increasing availability of raw material, and meeting demand of growing markets. The conference will explore important perspectives of retailers, brands, suppliers, women’s groups, and non-profits in establishing a practical strategy that achieves our goal. Based in the Chicago area, he has responsibility for Product Management, Sustainability and Supply Chain Management for North America. The Hershey Company Ray Major, Senior Manager, Sustainability Initiatives Shea and Hershey’s 21st Century Cocoa Sustainability Strategy Ray Major is responsible for meeting Hershey’s global requirements for certified cocoa and managing their sustainability initiatives in producer countries. He also manages Hershey’s crop forecasting program in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
