It was great to see so many parents at the Meet and Greet Night. Although we are still living the pandemic, it’s nice to see some normalcy taking place. We still have a long way to go in navigating the ongoing changes associated with the virus. We are constantly in communication with the HCPH and the CSO liaison as they give us guidance on each individual situation.
I would like to thank all of you for your continued prayers and support. Our teachers, staff and especially our nurse have worked so hard to create an environment that makes our students feel safe and successful.
The First Four Weeks have been good and the energy is great. We have several new staff members who have jumped right in and continued the excellence at SHCS. Please continue to show that Sacred Heart is a school that leads by example in the light of Christ. Let’s continue that honorable example in loving one another and Be Kind to one another. Let’s Celebrate the wonderful beginning to the year. Ask your kids about what they love about SHCS. Pray together and ask God for protection.
Just a quick reminder regarding the car line: please be mindful that safety and efficiency are our priority at all times. Most importantly, remember to give yourself a pat on the back for juggling schedules, carpool, after school activities, work, etc. One of the toughest jobs we have is parenting! Thank goodness we have God on our side and the Holy Family to guide us through our daily crosses and blessings.
Thank you all for reading the Heart to Heart. It will keep you updated and on your way to a great school year.

MASS DAY REMINDERS Just a reminder that Students attend Mass every Tuesday. In the event that the weekly Mass day changes, an email will be sent advising you of the change.
Students are required to wear their Mass uniform.
Girl’s ties can be purchased from the School Office for $6. Boy’s ties can be purchased from Lands’ End.

80th Annual Czech Festival
Sunday, October 3
Crosby Fairgrounds
The Czech Festival is the largest fundraiser at Sacred Heart Parish.
We encourage all families to support the Czech Fest.
There is no admission fee and parking is free at the Fairgrounds parking lot on Church Street.
Handicap Parking is available.
We are asking each school family to donate TWO 2-liter soda
bottles to help out at the game booths. Each family will receive
a free dress pass for their child(ren).
Please bring your donations to the School Office.
SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING VOLUNTEERS All volunteers at Sacred Heart Catholic School must complete the Archdiocese Safe Environment training. This training is required by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston for all clergy, employees, contracted school personnel, and volunteers over the age of 18 who work in any capacity with or around children, the elderly, and adults with special needs. For more information on this training, visit https://galvestonhouston.cmgconnect.org/. If you plan on volunteering at the school this school year, please complete this online training.

Sacred Heart Catholic School is very excited to participate in the SCRIP Gift Card program which will help support our school. When you buy Scrip cards for your everyday purchases and even gifts, the school receives a percentage of the total value of each card. There is NO additional cost to you, but a HUGE benefit for our school. There are hundreds of participating vendors/retailers. You may also find additional merchants online at www.shopwithscrip.com. The percentage amount we earn depends on the retailer. You may place your order two ways: Online orders: · Go to www.shopwithscrip.com / Register by using your email address & our school enrollment code: DF7DB1C826517 · Place your order / Print your order / Send your check & a copy of your order to the school office Paper orders: Fill out the Scrip order form completely / Return the order form along with your payment to the School Office. All orders and payments must be received by Monday at 3:30pm of each week to guarantee delivery and pickup of cards by the following Tuesday at 3:00 – 3:30pm.

The quilts will be used in the Early Childhood Building.
Sacred Heart Family…Our school is participating in Coca-Cola Gives, Box Tops and Community Coffee Cash for
Schools programs this year. We’ve had great success with these programs in years past. With your help, we can
have another awesome year!
Though the Box Tops program has changed to a “Scan Your Receipt” program (details can be found at btfe.com),
our school is still collecting unexpired clipped Box Tops. The collection of Box Tops and the other programs are
continuous, so please send your proofs of purchase and Coca-Cola codes to school with your child. It’s best if
your student turns these items into their homeroom teacher.
