Trust: It is not an easy thing to get. The worst betrayal

comes from a person whom you trust the most. When

the lights are turned off the only person you can

trust is you. Reaching for what you desire forrequires trust. Maybe that was what destiny chose for

everyone, but things fade away like those shattered

pieces.

PrefaceRemembering things is the worst portion. The things you want

remembered and those which you want to forget. My memories are

those which I want to forget. I cant stand beside him. My Ego was

taller than me. I loosen my wedding ring while sitting in an empty

room. He killed Victor. It had been only been a day since we got

married. The other day they took me away from Victor. I wasntfree to go. I know it is hard to believe that Victors gone. I never

imagined I would be looking for his shadows. Looking at the

embellished silver color dress I was wearing I just remembered eyes

of rage. He says he loves me. My heart doesnt agree to it. After

the way he killed Samara, George, and Patricia - I couldnt.

I need you to pick a file from my office. I grabbed my Prada

shades and the car keys.

You need to pick me after work. Heather shouted out while I

closed the house door behind. L.A was sunny as usual. Pulling out

my shades I made my way towards the car.

Working at Peoples Revolution was fun. I always wanted to be a

stylist. I had worked as an intern at Cosmopolitan and I didnt

refuse the job offer. Maybe working there were the best days of my

life. Two weeks trip to Milan. Every girl dreams about that. Before

entering the office I looked down at my Gini draped dress and

Python sandals.

Jade, Boss wants to see you. My assistant told me while I placed

my bag on the desk. I nodded and rubbed the back of my neck. I

must have slept on the wrong side.

She is fourteen and a half. I laughed. It is fine. I am counting on

you, Jade. She said while I stood up.

I will see you after the shoot. I proceeded out of the room.

Janet I called out my assistant.

Yes She was standing next to me the next second.

The dresses - send them to Smashbox, I need the models to be

prepared. I need to make a call. I dialed Heathers number.

Hey, Heather. I said while she picked the call.

Yeah She said casually. Where is Amanda? I need her to model

for me at the shoot. I continued.

She must be at school. She replied. So could I use her as a

model? I asked.

Yeah, I am fine with it. She answered. Okay, could you pick her

up and bring her to Smashbox? I questioned.

Yeah, I will bring her in 20. Heather ended the call.

Chapter 2: First Impressions

I walked back into my office finding a surprise waiting for

me. Dan. I was staggered and hugged my brother.

What are you doing here? He let go of me.

I have news for you. He smiled and sat down.

I raised my eyebrow while he slipped a card in front of me.

You are getting married. I flipped open the card.

IX SHATTERED PIECES

Victoria. I opened my mouth in shock. Vicky was our cousin

and I never expected them to end up like this. I am surprised

but I am really happy for you. I smiled at him.

So she is going to ask you to be her Maid of Honor. Dan

was sure about it.

I am happy to be a bridesmaid as well. I bit my lip. Well

Dan, I will see you on the weekend but right now I have

work. I sort of pushed him out of the office.

I will see you then. He hugged me and walked towards the

elevator.

When I walked into the Smashbox studios I found Heather

waiting for me with Amanda. You come with me. I grabbed

Amandas arm and showed her the outfit she was supposed to

wear. Just have fun. I helped her with the rest of the

accessories while the makeup was done on her.

Dan is getting married. I told Heather who was practically

standing three feet away from me. She turned to look at me.
