A Shark is a carnivorous fish that can be found all over the world.Many people think,shark is a dangerous creature.But,from 350 species,only 27 species which have ever attacked people.In fact,many sharks only eat fish.

Shark’s Detection System

A Shark has a perfect detection system to cacth its prey.It can smell blood in radius of 100m.The other system is lateral line.Using it,a shark can detect the wave movement that is caused by its prey.A shark can also detect its prey’s electrical wave,using a detector that is called Lorenzini Blister.

Shark’s Eggs

Shark is an ovipar animal.In many species,the shark’s eggs hatch inside its parent’s body,and will go out alive after they hatch. But,one of some species, like a dogfish shark,it will put its eggs outside the parent’s body.Then, it will go away,and let the eggs hatch itself. The shark’s eggs are growing inside a pocket,called “Mermaid’s pocket”.One egg is in one pocket.

Many people think,the most dangerous shark is Great White Shark that can reach more than 6 meters long.Although it has a “man-eater” reputation, In fact,This shark seldom attacks people .They usually just eat seal or fish.On the other side,the biggest shark isn’t a dangerous animal.It only eat plankton.

Sharks also have enemies including the other sharks,whales,dolphin,and human. Dolphin and whales can beat a shark easily.In a battle,a dolphin will attack the shark’s belly using its spout.However,the shark’s primary enemy is human.
