Jacuzzi®:origini e storia di un’ideache ha conquistato il mondo

La famiglia Jacuzzi ha le sue radici a Valvasone, nel Nord Est italiano. Ed

è proprio in questo piccolo paese del Friuli, sui terreni degli avi, che ha

sede la Jacuzzi Europe, una realtà leader a livello internazionale. Tutto ha

origine agli inizi del ‘900, con l’arrivo dei fratelli Jacuzzi negli Stati Uniti,

dove seppero imporsi con le loro geniali invenzioni. Esperti di sistemi

idraulici, misero a punto nel 1956 un dispositivo per l’idromassaggio da

applicare alla vasca di casa per il trattamento idroterapico dell’artrite

che aveva colpito il più giovane dei fratelli. Fu Roy Jacuzzi, nel 1968, ad

applicare alla classica vasca getti massaggianti d’aria e acqua. Nacque

così l’idromassaggio Jacuzzi®. Nel 1969, invece, fu realizzata la prima Spa,

la rivoluzionaria minipiscina con le “bollicine” dall’impareggiabile potere

rivitalizzante e tonifi cante, fonte inesauribile di socialità, relax e vitalità.

Sono trascorsi 50 anni e, oggi come allora, l’idromassaggio di qualità ha

un solo nome: Jacuzzi®.

Jacuzzi®:the origins and history of an ideathat has conquered the world

The Jacuzzi family has its roots in Valvasone, in North East Italy. It is precisely

in this small town in the Friuli region, on the land of the family’s ancestors, that

Jacuzzi Europe, international leader, has its headquarters. It all started at the

beginning of the ‘900s, when the Jacuzzi brothers arrived in the U.S.A., where

they made a name for themselves thanks to their ingenious inventions. In 1956,

experts in hydraulic systems prepared a whirlpool device to be applied to the

home bathtub for the therapeutic treatment of the arthritis which had struck

the youngest brother of the family. In 1968 Roy Jacuzzi applied massaging jets

of air and water to the typical bathtub. This is how the Jacuzzi® whirlpool bath

was born. The fi rst Spa, the revolutionary “bubble” bath having an unparalleled

revitalising and toning capacity, was constructed in 1969 as an endless source

of socialisation, relaxation and vitality. 50 years have passed yet, today as

yesterday, the quality hydromassage has just one name: Jacuzzi®.


A hydro-caress to fondle the body and relax the mind….. Pleasant

massaging jets that improve blood circulation, relax muscular tension

Versatile, facile, immediata, la Spa Jacuzzi® è pronta a

saggio. Niente tempi d’attesa: la temperatura dell’acqua è

mantenuta automaticamente costante dal sistema. Dotata di

fi ltraggio automatico per la pulizia dell’acqua dalle impurità,

programmabile per due cicli a seconda della necessità, la Spa

Jacuzzi® richiede poche ma basilari regole di manutenzione,

fondamentali per garantire performance sempre ai più alti

livelli.

Prime fra tutte il controllo periodico delle condizioni chimiche

dell’acqua (pH) e la conservazione del suo livello ottimale

tramite integrazione delle perdite dovute all’evaporazione,

particolarmente accentuata a idromassaggio acceso.

L’acqua va inoltre periodicamente sostituita in base alle

necessità delle diverse utenze: Palestre, Beauty Farm, Alberghi,

Stabilimenti Balneari, ecc.

Colorata, di facile applicazione, la copertura è un accessorio

appositamente studiato per proteggere la superfi cie interna

della vasca, tenere pulita l’acqua da foglie, polveri e insetti e

ridurre le dispersioni di calore mantenendo la temperatura

dell’acqua e minimizzando i costi d’esercizio.

Lo svuotamento completo della vasca è consigliato solo se

si prevede di non utilizzare la Spa per un lungo periodo, in

particolare nei mesi invernali.

you the well being of a hydromassage at any time. There is

no waiting time because the water temperature is maintained

constant automatically by the system. Equipped with an automatic

fi ltering system that cleanses the water of impurities and that can

be programmed in two cycles depending on requirements, the

Jacuzzi® Spa requires just a few basic maintenance rules that are

fundamental to guarantee very high performances.

First of all, periodical check the chemical condition of the water

(pH level) and the preservation of an ideal water level by

integrating loss through evaporation that is particularly evident

when the hydromassage is operating.

The water must also be periodically replaced in compliance with

the needs of the various users: Gyms, Beauty Farms, Hotels,

Bathing establishments, etc.

Colourful and easy to apply, the cover is an accessory that has been

purposely designed to protect the inside surface of the hot tub, keep

the water clear of leaves, dust and insects and reduce heat dispersion

while preserving water temperature and minimising running costs.

The hot tub should be completely emptied only if it is not used for

a long time, in particular in the winter.

The technological jewel of Jacuzzi® is the ozonizer, a device that

releases ozone (O3+) that is used to neutralise impurities and to

per l’ispezione completa di ogni parte tecnologica.

Per un ottimale funzionamento della Spa sono necessarie le

connessioni alla rete elettrica, all’impianto di terra, alla rete idrica o

al più vicino punto di approvvigionamento d’acqua e allo scarico.

A questo proposito è bene sottolineare che le Spa Jacuzzi® sono

dotate di scarico con valvola a saracinesca direttamente collegabile

con il pozzetto raccolta acque.

L’installazione

Immersa nel verde del giardino o sulla terrazza, in veranda o nella

sala fi tness, in bagno o a bordo piscina, sullo yacht di lusso o nel

loft di città… la Spa Jacuzzi® non pone limiti alla libertà…

Per quanto riguarda la sicurezza nel trasporto e nella

movimentazione Jacuzzi® garantisce un imballaggio a prova d’urto:

ogni Spa viene infatti inserita in una speciale gabbia di legno che la

protegge da qualsiasi possibile danno.

Per la collocazione della Spa è preferibile scegliere una superfi cie

piana e stabile, priva di ostacoli che ne impediscano il trasporto e il

montaggio, con una pavimentazione capace di sostenere un carico

che, a seconda del modello e delle dimensioni, può variare da 350

a 600 kg al metro quadro.

special wooden crate that protects it from any damage possible.

To install your Spa it is preferable to choose a fl at and stable surface

without obstacles that may hinder transportation and handling and a

fl oor capable of supporting a load which can vary, depending on the

model, from 350 to 600 kg per square metres..

Nelle Spa della serie Experience il profi lo dell’acqua si spande nell’infi nito. Il tratto distintivo è nel livello dell’acqua sempre a bordo vasca: l’acqua di superfi cie, dove si raccolgono le impurità, tracima nei bordi a sfi oro e viene convogliata in una vasca di accumulo e compensazione. Ad installazione eseguita correttamente il refi lling dell’acqua è automatico. Caratteristica visiva delle Spa Experience è la griglia inclinata di 15° la quale, oltre ad essere un elemento distintivo della Spa, serve ad ottimizzare il recupero dell’acqua nella vasca di compenso. E le “fi gure” tracciate nel guscio, all’interno delle quali sono montati i getti idro con coprifl angia inox, donano un tono aggressivo e distintivo alla Spa. In the Experience Spas, the water skims over the tub deck indefi nitely. The distinctive feature is the water level that always skims the hot tub deck : the surface water that collects impurities fl ows over the rim and is conveyed to an accumulation and compensation tank. If installation is carried out properly, water is refi lled automatically. A visible feature of the Spa Experience hot tubs is the 15° slanting grid which, as well as being a distinctive element of the hot tub, also optimises water recovery to the compensation tank. The shapes drawn in the shell, into which hydromassage jets with their stainless steel jet fi ttings are installed, give an aggressive and distinctive appearance to the hot tub. Idromassaggio e blower possono essere facilmente attivati tramite i pulsanti pneumatici posizionabili in prossimità della vasca oppure tramite i comandi installati nella cassetta elettrica dello Spa pack.

Il fi ltro a sabbia quarzifera, garanzia di una fi ltrazione di qualità superiore, fa delle Spa Experience le minipiscine ideali per l’utilizzo professionale.L’acqua fi ltrata ritorna in vasca attraverso il pozzetto di fondo: questa soluzione, oltre ad offrire l’effetto visivo di una “fontana subaquea”, rimette in sospensione le particelle depositate sul fondo e ne favorisce la cattura da parte delle bocchette che inviano l’acqua al fi ltro.L’apparato, anche se tecnicamente complesso, è facilmente gestibile anche da utenze domestiche tramite i pulsanti a controllo pneumatico.

Thanks to superior quality fi ltering, the quartz sand fi lter makes the Experiences Spa baths ideal for professional use. The fi ltered water fl ows back to the hot tub through the ground drainage point: this method, as well as offering the visual effect of an “underwater fountain”, sends the particles deposited at the bottom of the hot tub in circulation making it more probable for them to be captured by the nozzles that send the water to the fi lter. Although it is technically complex, the system is easy to manage even by home users by means of pneumatically controlled buttons.

Le Spa Experience si distinguono anche per l’estrema silenziosità del sistema. I tecnici Jacuzzi® hanno infatti progettato l’assieme di pompe, impianto di riscaldamento dell’acqua, costituito dal riscaldatore elettrico o dallo scambiatore di calore, compressori per i blowers ed ozonizzatore opzionale (indispensabile per incrementare ulteriormente la qualità dell’acqua), in un vano tecnico staccato (Spa pack) che può essere sotterraneo o situato fi no a 6 metri di distanza… Nel sottofondo solo il dolce gorgoglio dell’acqua, ravvivata dalle diverse colorazioni ottenibili grazie al faro subacqueo.

Le Spa della serie Skyline sanno fondere la bellezza e la pulizia tipiche

della Spa Experience alla versatilità e facilità di installazione delle Spa

per uso domestico. Progettate per l’alimentazione elettrica standard

delle case private (220-240V - 50 Hz), possono essere installate

ovunque, senza particolari opere murarie o predisposizioni di vani

tecnici, eppure.. eppure mantengono quel tratto, quell’inconfondibile

fi rma dei panorami in cui acqua e cielo vanno a fondersi. Sono Spa

di estrema robustezza, con struttura in metallo e basamento in ABS

per protezione contro l’umidità del terreno. Possono essere installate

in superfi cie grazie ai pannelli in legno KanaWood, un materiale

particolarmente resistente agli agenti atmosferici e che offre una

fi nitura esterna di elevata qualità.

Il tratto distintivo, grazie al bordo a sfi oro continuo, è nel livello

dell’acqua sempre a bordo vasca: l’acqua di superfi cie, recuperata

attraverso le griglie perimetrali che, rispettando la tradizione Jacuzzi®,

sono inclinate di 15°, è inviata ad un sistema di fi ltrazione nascosto

sotto la griglia stessa... non vi sono componenti tecniche in vista, la

pulizia e l’eleganza sono dei must.

Sempre sotto la griglia e sotto i vani tecnici realizzati in TechStone

vi sono, inoltre, il contenitore delle essenze per l’aromaterapia e,

nella versione top, i 4 speaker del sistema audio Hi-Fi “InSound”

ottimizzato grazie all’adozione di amplifi catore dedicato, fi ltro

cross-over e subwoofer. Nello stereo Hi-Fi oltre alla radio e

al lettore cd è predisposto il collegamento per connessione al

lettore mp3: tutto il sistema, oltre alle pompe idro, può essere

facilmente gestito rimanendo comodamente immersi nella Spa,

grazie al telecomando in dotazione. Ma l’eleganza è ricercata anche

all’interno dove sono installati potenti getti idro, con coprifl angia inox

che donano un tono aggressivo e distintivo alla Spa. L’armonia e la

sobrietà delle forme sono esaltate dall’illuminazione interna a LED

con cromia variabile, che dona un’atmosfera frizzante o rilassante

allo spazio circostante.

In vista l’unico elemento necessario: la mascherina comando LCD

della Spa stessa.. e tramite questa semplice interfaccia è possibile

gestire le pompe idro, i compressori per il blower e l’aromaterpia…

l’illuminazione interna, i cicli di funzionamento tra i quali l’Economy

e la nuova funzione Instant Clear. Tramite quest’ultima funzione è

possibile aumentare il regime di fi ltrazione in situazioni particolari

come, ad esempio.. prima o dopo una festa con amici. Ma per facilitare

la massima igiene, le Spa della serie Skyline sono dotate, di serie, di

sistema di ozonizzazione. L’acqua fi ltrata ritorna in vasca attraverso

il pozzetto di fondo: questa soluzione, oltre ad offrire l’effetto visivo di

una “risorgiva”, rimette in sospensione le particelle depositate sul fondo

e ne favorisce la cattura da parte delle bocchette che inviano l’acqua al

fi ltro. La forma del guscio consente, a seguito dello svuotamento della

Spa, di non lasciare refl ui d’acqua al suo interno.

Una tecnologia rivoluzionaria

Sklyine Spas are capable of blending the beauty and clean-cut lines

typical of the Experience Spas baths with the versatility and installation

ease of hot tubs. Designed for the standard electric power supply of

private homes (220-240V - 50 Hz) they can be installed anywhere, with

no need for special masonry work or technical spaces yet….they retain the

tract, the unmistakable mark of landscapes in which water and sky blend

into each other. They are extremely sturdy Spas, with a metal structure

and an ABS base for protection from soil humidity. They can be installed

fl oor-standing thanks to the KanaWood wooden panels, a material that is

particularly resistant to outdoor conditions and that offers a high-quality

external fi nish.

The distinguishing feature, thanks to the rim overfl ow, is the water level

that always skims the bath deck: the surface water is recovered by

means of the grids along the perimeter which, respecting the Jacuzzi®

tradition, have a 15° slant, and is then sent to a fi ltering system concealed

below the grid. There are no visible technical components because clean

and elegant lines are a must…

Below the grid and below the TechStone technical compartments you will

fi nd the essential oils holder for aromatherapy and, in the top-of-the-line

version, the 4 speakers for the “InSound” Hi-Fi audio system that is

optimised thanks to the use of a special amplifi er, a cross-over fi lter and a

sub-woofer. The Hi-Fi stereo system, as well as a radio and a CD player,

is designed to connect to the mp3 player. The whole system, together

with the hydromassage pumps, can be easily managed while soaking

comfortably in your hot tub, by means of the remote control provided.

But elegance can also be found on the inside where powerful hydromassage

jets are installed with stainless steel jet fi ttings that give the hot tub an

aggressive and distinctive appearance. The harmonious and sober shapes

are set off by the adjustable-colour interior Led lights that can give an

exciting or relaxing atmosphere to the surrounding environment.

The only necessary element is in view: the LCD control panel for the hot

tub…through this simple interface it is possible to manage the hydromassage

pumps, the compressors for the blowers and for aromatherapy...the

interior lighting, the operating cycles such as the Economy cycle and the new

Instant Clear function. By means of this function it is possible to increase

the fi ltering action for special occasions such as, for example…before or

after a party with friends. But to obtain maximum hygiene, the Skyline Spas

are standard-supplied with an ozonising system.

The fi ltered water fl ows back to the tub through the ground drainage

point: this method, as well as offering the visual effect of an “underwater

fountain”, sends the particles deposited on the bottom of the hot tub in

circulation making it more probable for them to be captured by the nozzles

that send the water to the fi lter. The shape of the shell ensures complete

elimination of backfl ow water inside the hot tub after it has been emptied.

La mascherina controllo LCD è di facile accesso e permette il controllo

di pompe idro, impostazione del sistema di fi ltrazione, blower e

ozonizzatore. Il riscaldatore elettrico porta l’acqua alla temperatura

desiderata in due modalità: Standard se l’acqua all’interno della vasca

è a temperatura inferiore a quella impostata oppure Economy e/

o “sleep”, nel qual caso il riscaldatore si attiva solo durante i cicli

di fi ltraggio o nel caso in cui la temperatura dell’acqua sia inferiore

The electric heater heats the water to the desired temperature in two ways: Standard if the water inside the hot tub is cooler than the set temperature. Economy and/or “sleep”, in which case the heater operates only during the fi ltering cycles or when the water temperature falls 10 or more degrees below the set temperature. The electronic management system has been set to stop the water temperature from falling below 7° in the winter. The skimmer, the secret of waterthat is always clean and clear

Clean water, utmost hygiene. A principle that in the Maxi Jacuzzi® Spas is

guaranteed by the skimmer, a device designed to the collect the impurities

that fl oat to the top of the water and to convey the microscopic ones

inside the system where they are fi ltered using a cartridge fi lter. In models

with a circulation pump, two fi ltering cycles are programmed per day

that can be modifi ed depending on requirements. In addition to this, the

water ozonizer allows you to signifi cantly reduce the quantity of chemical

a streamlined appearance. It is easy to use thanks to the control panel

integrated in the hot tub shell. The J300 collection spa baths are fi tted with

the Water Rainbow® waterfall. The two-speed adjustable waterfl ow

can go from a vigorous cascade to a gentle stream. Jacuzzi® ProLites:

every Jacuzzi® J300 spa bath is equipped with energy-effi cient underwater

ProLites lighting. The Spa bath can be completely controlled by means of

the LED digital control panel. The handy, illuminated glass-holders in the

shell combine practicality with aesthetics. In models with loungers, the

massage is extended by the presence of gentle BX jets.

ProClear Natural Purifi er: optional, it does not pollute the water and

is compatible with the components of the hot tub. It slips inside the fi lter

cartridge and keeps the water clean and free from the odours of chemical

substances. A patented mineral process kills bacteria on contact quicker

than chlorine. Reduces the use of chemical products by up to 90% while

saving time and money.

Nelle Spa della serie Premium massima attenzione viene dedicata al comfort e alla valenza del

idromassaggio. Per esasperare tale concetto, nel fondale è stato ottenuto un pozzetto equipaggiato

con delle bocchette idro: l’area sopraelevata e ricurva nel fondo della minipiscina funge da ergonomico

poggiapiedi. Mentre le bocchette massaggiano i punti di pressione nei piedi; l’acqua tiepida stimola le

aree che attivano i centri energetici in altre parti del corpo.

Jacuzzi® ProLites: every Jacuzzi J300 Spa is equipped with energy-effi cient underwater ProLites lighting. The

LED lighting in the Spa and in the waterfall can be set to one colour or allowed to automatically cycle through

an array of colours.

Optional extra lighting (to be installed by the Jacuzzi® Service centre) on the outside of your hot tub adds

ambient lighting to outdoor parties and increases safety around your Spa after dark.

In the Premium line of Spa, utmost attention is paid to comfort and to the quality of the hydromassage. To

take this concept to the limit, a little footwell containing hydromassage jets has been made at the base of the

hot tub : the raised, curved area on the base of the hot tub is used as an ergonomic footrest. The jets massage

the pressure points on the feet while the warm water stimulates the areas that activate the energy centres in

Regole generali per la manutenzione ottimale della Spa

Poche ma basilari le regole per mantenere in perfetta forma la Spa.

Anzitutto va ricordato che, tramite il circuito di fi ltrazione in dotazione,

sporco e depositi superfi ciali trattenuti dal fi ltro possono essere

eliminati in modo veloce e sicuro. Altra operazione, prettamente

chimica, è il trattamento dell’acqua con prodotti appositamente

studiati per contrastare e prevenire in modo deciso ed effi cace

muffe, batteri e alghe. Grazie a questo intervento periodico l’acqua si

mantiene chimicamente perfetta e idonea alla balneazione.

L’operazione si articola in 7 distinte fasi:

- rilevazione e controllo del pH

- regolazione del pH (ActiWater pH+ pH-)

- inserimento dell’agente disinfettante (ActiWater O3+)

- trattamento alghe (ActiWater Clear)

- decalcifi cazione dell’acqua (ActiWater NoKal)

- pulizia periodica del fi ltro (ActiWater FilterClean)

- pulizia periodica del guscio (ActiWater Clean)

(NB: Per sciogliere la schiuma che potrebbe causarsi a causa di

un incorretto uso dei prodotti chimici si può utilizzare ActiWater

NoFoam).

General rules for excellent Spa maintenance

There are just a few basic rules to keep your Spa in perfect shape. In the

fi rst place it is important to remember that, by means of the fi ltering circuit

supplied, surface dirt and deposits captured by the fi lter can be eliminated

quickly and safely. Another typically chemical operation is the treatment

of water using products specifi cally designed to contrast and effi ciently

prevent the formation of moulds, bacteria and algae. Thanks to this

periodical treatment water is maintained chemically perfect and suitable

for bathing.

The operation consists in 7 distinct phases:

- measuring and checking the pH level

- adjustment of the pH level (ActiWater pH+ pH-)

- addition of disinfecting agent (ActiWater O3+)

- algae treatment (ActiWater Clear)

- water softening (ActiWater NoKal)

- periodical fi lter-cleaning (ActiWater FilterClean)

- periodical fi lter-cleaning (ActiWater FilterClean)

(N.B.: ActiWater NoFoam can be used to dissolve foam that may form due

to an incorrect use of chemical products).
