If a grinding process has the specification of 8.3+0.008 or 8.3 -0.008,
then what will be the nature of histogram graph ?
Mr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, JMT Auto Ltd
It will be of normal distribution, as long as there are no ‘Special’ cause variations present. It need not come under Non-normal distribution as in the case of a Run out or Face out !
Can we use Pareto chart to select the problems based on rejection (qty) and
(ppm) ?
Yes, we can. Pareto can also be drawn, based on the Money value, if so needed.
At the same time, for the first problem being selected from the Pareto, we have to draw another Pareto for the Causes also ! It is a good practice to do so !

❖ Systems are arrangements of processes: a group of interacting, interrelated, or
interdependent elements forming a complex whole.
❖ Systems audits differ from process audits primarily in their scope. Whereas
process audits focus on an isolated aspect of the system, systems audits
concentrate on the relationships between the various processes in the
system.
❖ In the case of quality audits, the concern is with the quality system. The quality
system is the set of all activities designed to ensure that all important quality
requirements are determined, documented, and followed.

System Audit
❖ The level of requirements for quality systems varies with the type of organization
being audited and, perhaps, with the size of the organization. Organizations that
produce, distribute, and support a product have greater needs than organizations
that sell a service.
❖ The changes made to the ISO 9000 series in 2000 delineated the requirements
in broader terms that were more clearly applicable to most or all organizations.

4 steps to Effect ive Change Management for HR
3. Implementing Change in phases
Prepare for change – By taking steps such as defining your change management strategy,
developing your change management team, and outlining key roles.
Manage the change – By creating and executing change management plans that include
communications, operations and resistance management.
Reinforce the change – By collecting and analysing feedback and then implementing
corrective actions where needed.
14
4 steps to Effect ive Change Management for HR
4. Communicating Change
❖ Pre-and post-surveys allow for feedback both before and after the change has been implemented,
which can enhance the overall process.
❖ Engage resistors in one-on-one sessions prior to the solution’s implementation to allow them to
provide their input.
❖ Be clear, consistent and explicit, especially when it comes to timeline and responsibilities.
❖ Use both formal and informal communication approaches, including email, intranet, in-person
meetings, signage and voice mails.
❖ Offer opportunities for employees to provide feedback into the process, and then be sure to use the
input to inform the plan.
❖ Gather employees to explore worst-case scenarios and then develop strategies to address them.

C. High Protein Content
❑ Ragi is rich in protein. There are also significant quantities of tryptophan, cystine, methionine
and total aromatic essential amino acids. Hence it is considered as a good source of protein for
vegetarians because its methionine content is about 5 per cent of the total protein.
D. Rich Source of Minerals
❑ It has highest calcium content compared to other cereals. It is also rich in minerals like phosphorus,
potassium and iron. Finger millet is a healthier alternative for people who might be at risk of osteoporosis or
have low haemoglobin levels.
