How Does SCLX Help?SCLX provides Coca-Cola System Supply Chain leaders a unique opportunity to learn the latest approaches to today’s fast-moving consumer goods business environment. This includes learning from Coca-Cola experts and Georgia Tech faculty, as well as from the experiences of other class participants at one of the world’s most-renowned universities (Georgia Institute of Technology). The program focuses on Strategic Thinking, Supply Chain Excellence and Leadership Development while emphasizing the value of collaboration, integration and conducting business in a sustainable and environmentally-friendly manner.

Target AudienceThe SCLX program is designed for talent from the Company (Business Units & Corporate alike), Bottling Partners and Joint Ventures, including but not limited to positions like Supply Chain Directors, Technical Directors, functional leaders, their direct reports and potential successors. Also is a great development opportunity for other roles that interact with the System’s supply chain like Finance, Marketing Commercial and Operations.

Nomination ProcessParticipants must be nominated by bottlers, business unit or corporate functional leadership (e.g., Bottling President, Supply Chain VP, Group President, BU Technical Director, Corporate Director). For more information, please contact Supply Chain Capabilities Director (Technical Knowledge & Skills).

Location and DatesSCLX is held each May and November at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business located at 800 West Peachtree Street, Atlanta GA 30308.

Overview

The program culminates with the execution of a locally selected applied project. The SCLX participant and his/her manager reach an agreement on a target project that will meet a key business and/or local market need as a well as provide on-the-job experiences which will close development gaps, creating a win-win solution to generate the desired ROI for the business and for the student. Core team reviews all final project documents submitted by the deadline and selects the Top 6. The Top 6 projects are then reviewed by the Steering Committee who selects the Top 3 for a global webinar presentation to the SCLX community.

Applied Project

The four phases for the SCLX program are: Pre-Assessment, Self-Study, Residential Learning Session (RLS) and Applied Project. The pre-assessment kicks everything off and it ties all the phases together. It highlights the knowledge and skills needed to be addressed during the SCLX program.

Self-study stage is about a Virtual Learning System (VLS) designed to help the participant to prepare for the two weeks at Georgia Tech campus. It covers several modules that allow to begin discussion and networking among participants.

The RLS will provide a thorough experience for participants to better understand the End-to-End Supply Chain challenges and trends. Also providing a space for learning not only from GT & Coca-Cola System faculty but also from each other.
