A PRODUCT AHEAD OF ITS TIME

Using a new software, Head Eye IntegrativeMovement (HEIM), developed by Shamir engineers, we tracked exactly through which areas in the lens patients actually look, along both the vertical and horizontal meridians in the different vision zones.

This technology enables us to design a lens that takes into account actual viewing angles computed for every distance. Previously, our designs were based on simulated eye movement. Now we actually know where the eye looks.

Whereas in the past we simulated, now we see.

Unlike current lens designs based on a one-design concept, Continuous Design Technology™ links one product with a continuum of designs that meet a range of specific visual needs.

With this new technology, our optical designers integrate various "design genes" based on a number of prototypes developed to form the foundation of one product with a continuous design concept.

With Shamir Autograph Intelligence™ 12 prototypes, one for each Visual Age™, were developed based on the findings of our extensive research.

This means we can now offer every patient a unique lens design ideally suited to their Visual Age™, in all vision zones, and for all distances.

Visual AI Engine implements the continuous design concept along the entire matrix of optimization parameters such as: sphere, add, face-form angle, pantoscopic tilt, fitting height, base curve and index.Mimicking human intelligence, the engine runs a multi-dimensional optimization process, based on the various design genes. The complex design required for Shamir Autograph Intelligence™ would have been too demanding to achieve without the new technology of the Visual AI Engine. The end result is a product ahead of its time, designed with extreme accuracy for each Visual Age™.

NEW ERGONOMIC DESIGN CONCEPT PERFECT VISION FOR ANY FRAME CHOICE

Eye-Point Technology III is a new analysis technology that enables Shamir to overcome the problem of different prescription-related viewing experiences. By simulating the real world view for any given prescription, Shamir is able to redefine the viewing experience, ensure similar fields of view for both hyperopic and myopic wearers, and provide an improved viewing experience for all patients, regardless of prescription.

This technology controls the power profile along the eye’s visual path through the progressive lens corridor, and allows Shamir lens designers to give variable emphasis to the power for every given point on the lens. Based on this, Shamir has design lenses optimally suited to a particular activity, from lenses for specific sports, to multi-purpose lenses that pay special attention to clear vision for today s intermediate visual tasks. This is achieved without compromising distance vision, the ease of adaptation and smooth transition between viewing fields.

Natural Posture is a new ergonomic design concept that dynamically locates the near viewing zone within the progressive lens corridor, taking into account the positive or negative power of the prescription. This minimises the need to tilt the head forward or back or raise and lower a book in an attempt to bring the text into focus. Any postural discomfort while reading is thereby minimised, ensuring the patient enjoys natural, comfortable posture.

Our existing As-Worn Technology™ compensates lens design structure according to the unique parameters of the chosen frame. It ensures that once the lens is fit into the frame, patients will experience the same visual acuity as they did in the optometrist’s trial frame. With As-Worn Quadro, an add-on to our existing technology, we have multiplied the design source dimensions by four. Lens design is now even less sensitive to tilt variations of the patient’s chosen frame, ensuring overall improvement of lens performance in any frame.

Shamir’s Close-Up Technology adjusts the reading zone inset of the lens to each individual patient’s convergence during near viewing. This creates a lens that meets individual differences, from physiological traits such as distance between pupils, length of arms, or convergence/divergence disorders, to life style, type of work, hobbies, and so on. The result is a highly personalised lens that meets today’s visual performance demands, whether average or irregular, for near and intermediate viewing.

Colour samples are for illustration only. Probable colour deviations when tinted (especially after coating). Orders are only in pairs, not for single lenses. Lenses have to be of the same type and index in order to tint. Polycarbonate 1.59 is only available in grey, brown, G15 and yellow uniform tints.

Progressive Lens Warranty• Warranty claims are accepted for non-adaption, PD adjustment and heights.• This warranty does not include power changes.• This warranty is valid for three (3) months from the original invoice date.• Original lenses will be replaced with an alternative product and a Credit Note will be

issued on the lower priced invoiced lenses.• Credit claims must be accompanied with the appropriate Credit Request Form and

original order or copy detailing invoice number, client reference, type of lens and an explanation of the reason for credit.

• This warranty is applicable for all progressive lenses supplied by Shamir Australia.• Progressive Lens Warranty does not cover Shamir Vocational lenses.

Glacier Multi-Coat Warranty• Shamir Australia will replace any Glacier Multi-Coat lens product that is deemed faulty

by our Quality Control Department.• This warranty is valid for two (2) years from the date of invoice.• Coating of client's own lenses are done on a "client's own risk" basis.• Lenses must be returned and accompanied with the appropriate Credit Request Form

and original order or copy detailing invoice number, client reference, type of lens and an explanation of the reason for credit.

• This warranty does not include the mistreatment of lenses.

Glacier Plus Multi-Coat Warranty• Shamir Australia will replace any Glacier Plus Multi-Coat lens products that are deemed

faulty by our Quality Control Department.• This warranty is valid for the lifetime of the lenses from the date of invoice.• Coating of client's own lenses are done on a "client's own risk" basis.• Lenses must be returned and accompanied with the appropriate Credit Request Form

and original order or copy detailing invoice number, client reference, type of lens and an explanation of the reason for credit.

• This warranty does not include the mistreatment of lenses.

Cancelled Jobs Policy• Jobs cancelled prior to surfacing will not be invoiced. Once orders are processed by the

Laboratory cancellation/credit will not apply.

Please Note - all credit claims must be received within fourteen (14) days of invoice date and a completed Credit Request Form must accompany all returns. (Contact accounts for a Credit Request Form)

WARRANTIES AND POLICIES

Stock Lens Policy• Shamir Australia will issue a full credit for uncut stock lenses that are returned in

original packaging and in a saleable condition. Stock lenses that have been specifically ordered will not be credited.

• Credit claims must be accompanied with the appropriate Credit Request Form and original order or copy detailing invoice number, client reference, type of lens and an explanation of the reason for credit.

Grind Lens Policy• All claims are subject to inspection by our Quality Control Department and credits

will only be approved for those products that are deemed to be outside of Australian Standards.

• Credit claims must be accompanied with the appropriate Credit Request Form and original order or copy detailing invoice number, client reference, type of lens and an explanation of the reason for credit.

Faulty Frames Policy• Faulty frames detected by the Laboratory will need to be replaced under warranty by

the Frame Manufacturer. The faults include dry solder, screws that are unable to be removed, damaged coating prior to Laboratory handling, etc.

• A frame damaged by Shamir Australia will be replaced on supply of a copy of the frame invoice to the Credit Department.

Client's own frames are processed at the client's own risk.

Transitions Signature Policy• Shamir Australia can not guarantee an exact match to the other, if replacing a lens that is

not the current generation of Transitions - (Transitions Signature).

Transitions Optical® Love Them or Exchange Them guarantee.

• If your patient does not love their Transitions® lenses the replacement lenses confirmedunder this guarantee varies according to the original pair of Transitions brand lenses ordered and received:

• Exchange Transitions® Signature® iconic colours or style colours for clear lenses.

• Exchange Transitions® XTRActive® iconic colours for clear lenses

• Exchange Transitions® Vantage® for either Transitions Signature or clear lenses.

• Note this guarantee does not include Transitions sun lenses such as Transitions® Drivewear®

• For all of the above the exchange is in the same prescription, design, index, coating andframe within 30 days of receipt.

• When returning Transitions lenses to the Shamir lab include the Claim & Return Formwith proof of purchase/collection.

WARRANTIES AND POLICIES

Tinting Policy• Shamir Australia will not accept responsibility for matching single lens tints

when lenses are being Glacier or Glacier Plus Multi-Coated.• Tinting of client's own lenses are done on a "client's own risk" basis.

Rimless Recommendations:• Shamir Australia recommends Tribrid® 1.60, DLC Trivex, 1.60 & 1.67 materials

for rimless and nylon rimmed frames.

Trading Terms• Payment of invoices are due and payable nett thirty (30) days from end

of month, unless otherwise organised with Shamir Australia Management. Failure to meet these payment terms will result in withdrawal of rebates, suspension of supply and the possible initiation of debt collection procedures.

• Credit Card payments are strictly fourteen (14) days after receipt of Statement and are fee free for Visa and Mastercard. AMEX automatically incurs a 1.25% fee and Shamir Australia does not accept Diners. Payment by Credit Card after the fourteen (14) day period will incur all necessary bank charges.

Freight• A freight charge will apply to all standard deliveries.• Special deliveries at the customer's request will attract an additional charge.• Goods being delivered or damaged during delivery to Shamir Australia

re the sender's responsibility.• Goods being dispatched by Shamir Australia are the responsibility

of Shamir Australia. This applies to all frames, lenses and all other products.

Staff Discounts• Shamir Australia is pleased to offer practice owners one (1) pair

of complimentary lenses per year including fitting. Practice staff are entitled to a 40% discount on one pair of lenses per year including fitting.
