LONDON

The London school is in Central London, next to Bond Street Station and the famous shopping area of Oxford Street. The school is in a quiet pedestrian street in the historic and exclusive area of Mayfair.

Why study in London?• A varied social programme• World-famous tourist attractions such as the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament within easy reach of the school• With over 200 events taking place each day, London hosts the best theatre, musicals and exhibitions in Europe• Enjoy the many city parks with their quiet and relaxing gardens.• Good transport links to anywhere else in the UK and Europe

HASTINGS The Hastings school is ideal for students who prefer to study in a small coastal town. The Hastings school has wonderful views across Warrior Square and the beach. The atmosphere is personalised and friendly. The train station is 5 minutes from the school with trains running directly to London, which is only an hour and a half away.

Why study in Hastings?• Hastings and its surrounding area have many historical attractions• Cheaper course prices than London • Cheaper cost of living• Smaller city than London so everywhere is a convenient distance away• Less foreign students than in London so more English is heard on the streets• The school is located less than 2 minutes from the beach• Self-catering kitchen so students can prepare and store their own lunch

5

We believe the best English schools give their students the personal attention they deserve. This is why we keep our class sizes at all schools to a maximum of 12 students.

FACILITIES IN Our SCHOOLS:

• 10-13 classrooms

• Free internet access

• Study Centre

• Student Lounge

• Outdoor Terrace (London & Cape Town)

• Online learning facilities

• Refreshment facilities

CAPE TOWN The Cape Town school is located in central Cape Town, and is very close to some of the city’s best bars, restaurants and cafes. Now is a great time to visit the city as it prepares itself for the 2010 World Cup.

Why study in Cape Town?• Cape Town is the oldest city in South Africa and offers a wonderful mix of old and new• Cheaper cost of living than the UK• Some of our host families are within walking distance of the school• Amazing adventure sports, wonderful tourist attractions and breathtaking scenery and wildlife

It is an absolutely fantastic school. Because the teachers are spontaneous, the students are from different cultures, everybody is very friendly and they are here for the same reason, to learn English! I am really happy that I chose this school

Ahmed – Saudi Arabia London School

At Shane Global schools we take your progress very seriously and monitor your progress from the first day. During your course, you will be given written tests at regular intervals, based on the materials you have covered in class.

All students are given a tutorial with their teacher to discuss their progress and their personal study goals. Long-term students also receive a written progress report, outlining the points covered in the tutorial. The written test and teacher evaluation form the basis upon which the student can change levels.

The main emphasis of our classes is on practical oral communication to help students develop fluency and confidence. Our teachers will help you achieve your goals with the help of a course syllabus supplemented with extra materials such as games, role playing, newspapers and non-print media to make classes fun, interactive and imaginative.

Accommodation

Accommodation is a very important part of your experience with us. Our accommodation is clean, inspected on a regular basis, and located close to public transport links.Living in a homestay gives students the opportunity to practise English in a family environment and experience family life. Student Houses, Student Residences, Self Catering cottages and Guest Houses allow the freedom to enjoy the city independently, living with other students. Families are selected carefully and our families accommodate our students because they enjoy hosting international students.

I have to say that this course is one of the best experiences in my life. I’ve learned a lot of things like never before. Not just about England, but also about other nationalities. Great opportunity.
