Subject: Items banned by Govt. of India to automatically comeunder negative list of PMEGPscheme.

Underthe PMEGPscheme eligibleapplicantcan set up any projectexcept the activities covered under negative list which is as follows:

d) Industries such as processing of Pashmina Wool and such otherproducts like hand spinning and hand weaving, taking advantageof KhadiProgramme under the purviewof certificationrules andavailing sales rebate.

e) Rural transport (except auto rickshaw in Andaman & NicobarIslands, House boat, Shikara and Tourist Boats in J & K and CycleRickshaw.

2. It is observed that due to revision of policies as well as enactmentof new acts by Government of India or various Competent Authorities ofGovernment, items can come under list of banned items/activities.

3. To ensure that such banned items /activities do not feature underthe scope of PMEGPscheme, it is decided to add the followingclause inthe PMEGPscheme guidelinesunder para 29 of negative list:

" items lactivities banned by Government of India orCompetent Government Authorities will automaticallybe treated as items under negative list of PMEGP".

4. The above inclusionmay be publicized and includedin all leaflets,literatureand printed materialof PMEGPscheme.

5. State/DivisionalDirectors,KVIC shouldtake follow up actiononthe abovegUidelinesand alsobring this additionto the knowledgeof allimplementingagencies,banksetc. includingSLBCandSLMC.
