We, the Catholic faithful of Yukon and the surrounding areas, comprise Seven Dolors Parish. We

have a rich immigrant ancestry and a diverse ethnic heritage where Christian charity prevails. We are

committed to the Eucharist, the Good News of Jesus Christ and all teachings of the Catholic Church. We

Choir Practice The Choir will practice on Wednesday, January 17 at 7 PM. If you would like to join the parish choir, please join us at practice. Youth Ministry The youth will meet Saturday, January 20 at 5:45 PM in Rogers Hall. 2018 Flower Calendar The flower calendar for 2018 is on the bulletin board near the Eucharistic Chapel. If you would like to order flowers in memory of a loved one or for a special occasion, please fill in your name for the appropriate date and order the flowers for that weekend. 2018 Mass Book The Mass Book is open to schedule as many Masses as you wish for 2018. Suggested stipend is $10.

Parish Calendars 2018 Calendars are available at the entrances of the church. Seven Dolors Parishioners thank Ron and Tony Rich of Beatty-Rich Funeral Home for providing the calendars.

Finance / Pastoral Councils There will be no Finance Council or Pastoral Council meetings during the month of January. Flu Season Please remember to refrain from partaking of the Precious Blood if you have any flu or cold symptoms.

At his own request, The Reverend Jonathan J. Wisneski, JCL, has been granted a six-month leave of absence for

personal reasons.

In conjunction with his Leave of Absence, Father Wisneski has resigned as Vicar for Clergy and Consecrated Life,

Chancellor and all Diocesan Curial and Tribunal appointments.

Father Wisneski has also resigned as Pastor of Seven Dolors Parish, Yukon.

The Reverend Monsignor James T. Gaston, VF, is appointed Administrator of Seven Dolors Parish, Yukon, while

remaining Dean of Deanery III, Pastor of Mother of Sorrows Parish, Murrysville, and maintaining all other Dioce-

During Cold Weather . . . During this time of extremely cold weather is does not take long for someone to find themselves in real physical danger, especially if they are sick, older or are a person with a disability that restricts mobility. If you are aware of someone in this category, please reach out to them, give them a call, or somehow, otherwise check on them to make sure they are keeping warm safely and have sufficient food and water to withstand this brutal weather. It only takes a few minutes to do this, but it could save a life! Thank you! Spring for the Ring St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church is sponsoring a “Spring for the Ring” fundraising event on Friday, February 2. The event will begin at 6 PM with an antipasto bar & Cash bar, followed by a pasta with meatball dinner at 7 PM. One lucky winner will have a diamond ring in their meatball!!! Following dinner will be dancing as well as 50/50, basket auction, crystal bake sale and cash bar. Donation is $25 each and may be obtained at the parish office or after all masses. DCCW Sanctity of Life Prayer Event

The Diocesan Council of Catholic Women will host a Day of Prayer for the Sanctity of Human Life Friday, January 19, at the Bishop Connare Center. The day begins with the rosary at 11:30 AM Mass will be celebrated by Msgr. Larry J. Kulick at noon, exposition will be at 1 PM, and the afternoon will include the rosary and other prayers with Benediction at 4 PM. Participate in the whole day or any part of it. And Holy Communion The sacraments of Anointing of the Sick and Holy Communion are available to those who are sick, elderly or infirm. Please contact the parish to arrange a visit.

Program for Pastoral Musicians “Your True Voice,” a program for pastoral musicians led by Jeanne Cotter, will be held Saturday, January 20, from 9 AM-Noon at St. Agnes Parish, North Huntingdon.
