What do you do when a student does not get the proper refund?

• Things to look for– What was the drop date? – Was the drop back dated?– What is the starting date of the course(s)

involved?– Is the starting date correct?– Does the drop fall within a refund period?

• Regreport - List option will help you find the answers to all these questions.

Where does the data come from in Regreport - List?

• REGDAT file– Not a DMS file– Can not use DMS programs to access– Must LOAD ENRDATA file to utilize DMS programs – Maintained by the Registration program

• Regreport - List Option– Allows you to view data directly from REGDAT file

• View on printed report• View on screen (TT:)

Who can access the Regreport program?

• Any Registration or Billing user that has access to “$”

• If you do not have access to the “$”– Contact your computer center– Can add option to your current menu– Contact Jay at ESP

Using Regreport - List

ROSTER Create course rosters

REPORT Produce standard reports

Report Generating Aids

EXTRACT Rebuild pointers from student or course pointers

POINTER Build pointer file using one criterion

SORT Arrange and select records using field contents

LOAD Generate new ENRDATA records from REGDAT

List option can not be used while in menu mode.

• Running the Program

Removing menu mode$ SHOW LOGICAL REG$CONTROLLER "REG$CONTROLLER" = ".SDM" (LNM$PROCESS_TABLE)

• Menu mode is forced by “M” in REG$CONTROLLER– “M” must be removed. This will allow access

to “LIST” option.

$ DEFINE REG$CONTROLLER ".SD"%DCL-I-SUPERSEDE, previous value of REG$CONTROLLER has been superseded

$ SHOW LOGICAL REG$CONTROLLER "REG$CONTROLLER" = ".SD" (LNM$PROCESS_TABLE)

• RC = Recordtype – 1 = add– 0 = drop– 2 = waitlist– 4 = transcript

• STD = Student ID• CRS = Course ID• TC = Termcode
