New Year Prayer

Thank you Lord for giving me

The brand new year ahead

Help me live the way I should

As each new day I tread.

Give me gentle wisdom

That I might help a friend

Give me strength and courage

So a shoulder I might lend.

The year ahead is empty

Help me fill it with good things

Each new day filled with joy

And the happiness it brings.

Please give the leaders of our world

A courage born of peace

That they might lead us gently

And all the fighting cease.

Please give to all upon this earth

A heart that's filled with love

A gentle happy way to live

With Your blessings from above.

Amen

The Sunday School went to see the Grinch movie on Saturday,

December 15th after their program practice. What a fun time!

“How the “Grinch Stole Christmas” is a Dr. Suess classic that has been

around since 1957, but on Sunday, December 16th the children of St.

John’s taught the Grinch who didn’t understand what Christmas was

really about “THE FACT THAT JESUS CAME TO THIS EARTH FOR US.”

Thanks to the teachers, parents and those who played a part in prepara-

tion of the program and most of all the children for a great presentation.

December 13th was such a BLESSED day!!!! It was the last day for my

treatment and I had the best friends and family by my side to help cele-

brate. Back in June, December seemed like a lifetime away, but here it

was..December 13...a day that I had SO been looking forward to. I have

had my moments and sometimes this has seemed like a crazy dream,

BUT I have seen so much beauty and I have been blessed with strength

and healing beyond my own ability—my mind and body have both stayed

so strong and positive and I have learned and experienced so many

things that I will always be grateful for.

Thank you so much to my friends and family that took the day off of

work to celebrate with me...I don’t have the words to express how much

it means to me. Thanks to everyone that has gone to a treatment with

me, those that have brought food to us, those that have volunteered to

help, to my prayer warriors, to my church family, to my co-workers who

are like family and have given me so much support, to everyone that has

texted or called to check in on me, to those that have sent cards, for

every single thing that every single person has done to show their love

and support...it has all given me strength and has helped me along the

way and I appreciate it so much. Most importantly, thanks to my Lord

and Savior Jesus Christ for strength, healing and for so many

BLESSINGS.
