*CALL to WORSHIP Today is the start of the holiest of weeks, when God’s love was freely offered, but then sadly rejected. Though people did praise Jesus, soon they denied Him. Betrayal and death would meet Him. Lungs breathing out loud praise, hearts beating with delight, arms raised high and waving branches ... Excitement was in the air; the crowds were in a frenzy and wanted to make Jesus their king! But setting aside all power, glory and might, He came humbly; obedient; laying down His life for us. What’s this!?—the people questioned. What kind of Messiah gives in and suffers defeat? Little did they know at the time, but Christ would triumph over the grave and scatter His enemies! Hosanna! Hosanna in the lowest, highest, widest and deepest places of the universe! Blessed is the One who brings the salvation and kingdom of God to all the world!

Leader: Praying in one accord, and humbling ourselves before the Lord, let us confess our need for God and God’s unconditional and unending love.

(Unison) Holy and Awesome God, we rejoice and praise Your blessed name, for You ride trium-phantly into our lives, conquering sin and death, freeing us from all bondage, and giving us hope to go on! But we confess that we exert our wills more than we seek Your will. We cry over our ruined plans, but not for impeding Your plans. Lord, forgive us. Even as You came to serve, so help us to love and serve others in Your name. — Hosanna! Hallelujah! Amen.

We believe in one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is love. We praise God the Father: Who created the universe and keeps it in being. He has made us his sons and

daughters to share his joy, living together in justice and peace, caring for his world and for each other. We proclaim Jesus Christ, God the Son: Born of Mary, by the power of the Holy Spirit, he became one of us,

sharing our life and our death. He made known God's compassion and mercy, giving hope and declaring forgiveness of sin, offering healing and wholeness to all. By his death on the cross and by his resurrection he has triumphed over evil. Jesus is Lord of life and of all creation.

We trust God the Holy Spirit: Who unites us to Christ and gives life to the Church; who brings us to repentance and assures us of forgiveness. The Spirit guides us in our understanding of the Bible, renews us in the sacraments, and calls us to serve God in the world.

Prayers for family of John Dombroski, who passed away after a brief battle with cancer on March 16th. Prayers for Darlene Ervin’s daughter’s father-in-law, Jeff Grass, recovering from quadruple by-pass & corrective

heart valve surgery. Prayers for Alberta Riley’s grandson, Jeff, recovering from recent surgery to remove a benign neck mass. Prayers for Alberta Riley’s son, Bill, dealing with problems related to knee replacement surgery. Prayers for 2018’s Loveland Valentine Lady, Kay Bolin-O’Grady, recovering from serious injuries due to a fall. Prayers for Alberta Riley’s daughter-in-law’s mother, Linda Eirman, in hospice care with cancer. Prayers for Aggie & Chuck Gay and their health as they continue under doctor care. Thank you so much to all who continue to make soup. Soup will continue to be served to the NEST kids until May 10, then we will take the summer off. So please continue making soup in April. Favorites are chili, chili with spaghetti, beef vegetable, and chicken taco. Chicken noodle is not freezing and reheating well (mushy noodles). NEST continues to express their gratefulness to LPC for our involvement. Stay tuned for information about how we will help this summer!
