A MESSAGE FROM OUR BISHOP"As the faithful, religious and clergy of the Dioceseof Paterson, we join in prayer with people ofgoodwill around the world for the victims of therecent Paris attacks. Such terrorism seeks todestroy the freedom and tolerance of the civilizedworld. The barbaric disregard for human life and the
deep-seated hatred of ISIS are a threat to all humanity.Together let us implore God to change the callous hearts ofthose seeking to harm us and to strengthen our resolve to workfor peace. May the God of all consolation receive the souls ofthose who have died, heal the wounded and bring comfort tothe families of all the victims.” Sincerely yours in Christ,Most Reverend Arthur J. Serratelli S.T.D., S.S.L., D.D.Bishop of Paterson

LITURGY CORNERThis weekend we celebrate the Feast of Christthe King, the last Sunday of the LiturgicalYear. Each and all of us minister God’s
presence in our own way. Each and every one of us are partof God’s call: those who exercise special ministries and thosewho are part of God’s Kingdom as worshiping assembly, asgrowing believers, and as serving in simple and ordinary waysto those in need. From the Baptismal Liturgy: “As Christ wasanointed priest, prophet and King, so may you live out thesame calling as you walk with your brothers and sisters infaith.” Have a blessed week! Lisa
FAITH AT HOMESaying grace at mealtime used to be a special part ofthe day for many families. Most days I’m sure thatmany are eating in the car as they drive their children
back and forth to their activities, in front of the TV or you arelike me and eat working on the computer. Whether you holdhands around the table or stand behind your chair, it can be ameaningful experience not only for your children, but for youtoo! Here is a grace that you can use for your Thanksgivingdinner (either take turns reading it, or run off copies foreveryone). It’s entitled “Thankful for Each Other” written byJoanna Fuchs Dear Lord, as we gather together around thistable, laden with your plentiful gifts to us, we thank you foralways providing what we really need and for sometimesgranting wishes for things we don’t really need. Today, let usbe especially thankful for each other - for family and friendswho enrich our lives in wonderful ways, even when theypresent us with challenges, let us join together now in peaceful, loving fellowship, to celebrate Your love for us and our love foreach other. Enjoy your week! Have a blessed holiday! Lisa
