  • EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES GOLF 2019 CHAMPIONSHIP

Control transportation, regulate schedules, plan play times or distribute volunteers. These are some of the many func-tions that the technical team of the University of Malaga (UMA) has been managing for more than two months so that during the championship everything goes perfectly.

Directed by Pedro Montiel, the organizing committee of the EUSA 2019 Golf Championship with the technicians from the Sports Department of the University of Malaga. Manuel Trujillo and Eloy Cano, as responsible for coordi-

nation and marketing, respectively, have been the leads for coordinating the rest of the team, with Manuel Chinchilla and Arcadio Domínguez (general secretary), Juan Carlos Rodríguez and David Rodríguez (logistics area), Concep-ción del Río and Concepción Ruiz (medical area), Francisco Amores (volunteer coordination), Hilario Sánchez (protocol area), Victor Plaza (transport area), Eduardo Villalón and Miguel Conde (communication management) and Pepa Merino (marketing and graphics design).

All of them, together with another twenty volunteers from the university and the city of Antequera, have made the success of this championship possible, where the main difficulties were in managing the arrival and coordination of the 12 participating teams.

The UMA team is one of the three European universities that has organized more international events in the last decade, in the categories of futsal, futsal, beach volleyball and handball.
