Westside’s Mission Statement: “Guiding People on the Journey of Following Jesus” For Our Guests Becoming a Christian...We believe that it is by grace that we are saved through our response of faith, believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died to take the penalty of our sins on Himself, and that He was raised from the dead on the third day by the power of God. God calls people to believe in Jesus as their Savior, repent of sin in their life, make a confession of faith that Jesus is Lord and be joined to Christ and added to His church by being immersed (baptized) in His name. Having made this response of faith to God, all sin is forgiven and we receive the gift of God's Holy Spirit to live in us and to empower us to live for Jesus. All those who come to faith in Him may request immersion at any time. Becoming a Member at Westside...All believers, who by faith in Jesus have been baptized through immersion for forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit, may place their membership at Westside. You may express your desire to one of our elders or ministers, or mark the appropriate space on our visitor card. Members here are under the spiritual care of our shepherds and committed to service and full participation with the family of God at this congregation. Responding...You may request immersion (baptism), re-commit your life, or seek prayers on your behalf by going forward during the time of response or by contacting an elder, a minister, or any member of this congregation at any time. Communion...Communion at Westside is open to all believers who have gathered with us to honor Jesus. New Bible Study Starts Today! Join us today in room #604 for a new series titled "Stand Tall.” This month, our students will explore four stories from the book of 1 Samuel that demonstrate what integrity does and does not look like. You’ll learn that standing tall has nothing to do with perfection or outward appearance and everything to do with faith, integrity, and a willingness to ask for forgiveness after a misstep. Ed Pafford will be leading our High School class and Josh Morton will be leading the Junior High class.

Wednesday Bible Study—Join us each Wednesday night for a small group Bible study titled “A Year with Jesus.” This is a great way to take a break from the stresses of school and be inspired and encouraged by the Word of God! Dinner is served at 5:30p.m. and class begins at 6:15p.m.

Game & Movie Day—Join us for a day of fun on Monday, January 15 from 1-4p.m. in #604. We’ll plan some group games, hang out time and watch a movie together. Please bring a snack or drinks to share and any games that you’d like to play! Invite a friend and RSVP to Bryan so we can provide lunch for everyone.

Porterville Youth Rally—All 7th-12th grade students are invited to attend a weekend retreat hosted by Porterville Church of Christ on February 23-25. The cost is $30 per person and registration forms will be available soon. The deadline to turn in registration forms is February 4.
