From Judges to Jesus

We are all too similar to the time and people of the

Judges

In these final chapters the enemies are within, not oppressors from without.

The False worship of Israel leads to confusion, depravity and internal warfare.

How do we “make our own gods”?

The most serious way we do this is by consciously rejecting part of the Scriptural revelation of God

Ignoring or avoiding those aspects of revelation we don’t like.

Another way we do this is by subjectivizing all morality
