APPLICATIONS FIELDS
TCH SERIES
ISO 2858 version : dimensions and performance standards
Closed impeller
design suitable to
handle clean liquids
1X ISO 5199 version (optional) : technical specifications
TCH … 1X… VERSION
• Oversized shaft
minimizes deflection (<50
microns) and vibrations
thus improving the mech.
seal life
• High bearing span with
an optimal value L3/D4
• Oversized bearing to
handle both radial and
axial loads with a life
expectancy over 25000
hours of operation
*L
D shaft diameter (NOT sleeve)
L overhung length
TCH …. /1X-C/A3-M/T
“T” stands for mech. seal housing
fitted with cooling or heating
chamber.
Cooling, in case of hot liquids, is
required to avoid an increase of the
stuffing box temperature due to the
mech. seal sliding faces friction.
Heating is required when handling
some waxy products that may
solidify at ambient temperature.
“T” is optional
TCH …. /1X-C/A3-M/U2 or U0
“U2” and “U0” stand for casing
jacketed for heating or cooling.
TCH pumps in U2 or U0 version
are always made of AISI 316
material of construction.
Heating, carried out by mean of
thermal oil or steam, it is required
in case of waxy products that may
solidify at ambient temperatures.
“U2” version always includes “T”.
“U0” version is without “T”.
TCT SERIES
Vortex impeller
design capable of
handling without
clogging liquids
with suspended
solids or filaments
(in limited %), as
well as muddy and
viscous liquids.
Dimensions unified to ISO 2858/DIN 24256 (except for
the pump overall length which is more extended)
“1X” ISO 5199 available
TCA SERIES
Open impeller
design for
handling abrasive
liquids (such as
vegetable oils
with bleaching
earths). The
impeller is
mounted between
two plates which
are the only parts
subjected to wear.
Dimensions unified to ISO 2858/DIN 24256
“1X” ISO 5199 available
TCD SERIES
Dimensions and characteristics in
accordance to ISO 2858/DIN 24256
Close impeller
design suitable for
handling thermal
fluids (mainly
diathermic oil) up
to 320°C. Cooling
fins help to
dissipate the heat
coming from the
casing without
special cooling
systems.
Temperature dumping by means of cooling
fins
The heat from the pumped
product is greatly blocked by
special “heat barrier” chamber
(VDMA 167) located between
the pump casing and the
impeller. The bearing frame
has been especially designed
with cooling fins to effectively
dissipate the heat coming from
the pump casing so that
standard, simple and single
mech. seal can be safely used.
TCD SP version
“SP” is a specific version only
available in AISI 316 material of
construction
TCD/SP has been
especially designed to
handle vegetable oils.
An intermediate cover
(VDMA 184) has been
added beyond the mech.
seal, to be connected
with a reservoir
containing compatible
oil. In case of mech. seal
breakdown this avoids
that air enters into the
pump oxidizing the
pumped medium or that
bearing oil pollutes the
pumped medium.

Materials of construction
GS, RA and A3 versions are standard materials of construction
For pumps series TCT and TCA the impeller material of
construction is always AISI 316 (and so is for the GS version).
Pressure and temperature limitations
Limitations valid
for A3, HC, DU.
For GS and RA
the lowest limit
is -20°C.
These values are valid for temperatures of pumped liquids,
not for ambient temperatures. In case of overheated liquids
(such as overheated water) those limits are no longer valid.
In case of high temperatures also the mech. seal and the
sealing system have to be carefully evaluated.
