START-UP DATA SHEET DEFINITIONS

PROGRAMUNIT DATA

Fast Compressor Start

This sequence allows the unit controller to go to a specific cooling stage when transitioning from a Standby mode to and Active Cooling Mode. There will be a 15 second delay between compressor starts.Range: User Enabled/User DisabledDefault: User Disabled

Control Method (SZVAV)

Determines how the unit will be controlled when set up for Single Zone Vari-able Air Volume (SZVAV) in the OCC and UNOCC modes. Also determines the UNOCC control method for VAV and FlexSys (Wired Zone Temp or Comm Zone Temp only; staged control not valid for VAV and FlexSys). Range: Wired Zone Temp/Comm Zone Temp

Dehumidification Control (SZVAV and VAV)

This sequence allows the unit to utilize dehumidification if equipped with Hot Gas Reheat (HGRH). This will be used to cool the air below the typical temperature, which also dehumidifies. Range: User Enabled/User DisabledDefault: User Disabled

SAT Reset Method (VAV only)

Allows the unit controller to utilize one of four methods for resetting the ac-tive Cooling SAT SP. Return Air, Outside Air, and Supply Fan Speed have internal control logic. Hardwired requires a signal from the Building Automa-tion System (BAS) or Hardwired VDC signal to CTB1Range: Hardwired/Return Air/Outside Air/Supply Fan SpeedDefault: Hardwired

Smoke Purge Seq 1

Allows the end user to determine the appropriate sequence if the unit enters a Smoke Purge sequence. Smoke Purge is a specialized sequence that is typically initiated only after a building emergency such as fire/smoke disaster.Range: Purge/Pressurization/EvacuationDefault: Purge

Smoke Purge Seq 2

Allows the end user to determine the appropriate sequence if the unit enters a Smoke Purge sequence. Smoke Purge is a specialized sequence that is typically initiated only after a building emergency such as fire/smoke disaster.Range: Purge/Pressurization/EvacuationDefault: Pressurization

Smoke Purge Seq 3

Allows the end user to determine the appropriate sequence if the unit enters a Smoke Purge sequence. Smoke Purge is a specialized sequence which is typically initiated only after a building emergency such as fire/smoke disaster.Range: Purge/Pressurization/EvacuationDefault: Evacuation

START-UP DATA SHEET DEFINITIONS (CONT'D)

PROGRAM (CONT'D)COOLING

Supply Air Tempering (VAV and FlexSys)

This sequence allows the unit controller to utilize the unit’s heating medium if the outside air used for ventilation causes the supply air temperature to drop below the Cooling SAT SP. Does not function if the economizer is ac-tive or if mechanical cooling is in operation. Range: User Enabled/User DisabledDefault: User Disabled

Dew Point Reset (FlexSys only)

Allows the unit controller to lower the active Mixed SAT SP if the underfloor air temperature approaches the dew point temperature of the air. This se-quence requires an underfloor slab temp sensor and underfloor air humidity sensor be installed. Both are field provided and wired.Range: User Enabled/User DisabledDefault: User Disabled

Active Slab Control (FlexSys only)

Allows the unit controller to operate the unit’s heating medium if the conditions of the underfloor slab would allow for the formation of condensate. This se-quence requires an underfloor slab temp sensor be field provided and installed.Range: User Enabled/User DisabledDefault: User Disabled

SUPPLY SYSTEM

Instability Monitor

This sequence is only utilized if the unit is “twinned” together with other units. This sequence will monitor the Supply Fan VFD speed and the Current SAT and will stage OFF compressors if the current SAT drops below 45 °F or the Supply Fan VFD speed decreases drastically in a set amount of time.Range: User Enabled/User DisabledDefault: User Disabled

HEATING

Morning Warm-Up

This sequence allows the unit’s heating medium to warm up a building before the OCC period begins.Range: User Enabled/User DisabledDefault: User Disabled

Adaptive Morning Warm-UpThis sequence is only utilized if the unit’s internal time schedule is used.Range: User Enabled/User DisabledDefault: User Disabled

Night Set Back

This sequence is used for UNOCC cooling and heating operation. For proper operation, the unit must have a valid zone temp value.Range: User Enabled/User DisabledDefault: User Disabled

HW Valve Action

This sequence tells the unit controller how the field provided/installed HW Valve is to be controlled. Only used if Heating Type is HW/Steam Heat.Range: Direct/ReverseDefault: Direct

VENTILATION

Continuous Vent (SZVAV)This sequence allows the supply fan to run continuously during the OCC mode. Range: User Enabled/User DisabledDefault: User Disabled

Comfort Ventilation (SZVAV)

This sequence will allow the unit to bring on cooling or heating before the space requires it. It is typically used for SZVAV units with higher than nor-mal OA requirements for ventilation. Range: User Enabled/User DisabledDefault: User Disabled

Scroll compressors will only pump in one direction and MUST be properly phased. To insure proper rotation, observe discharge and suction pressure when the compressor starts. If the compressor is phased correctly, the discharge pressure will increase and the suction pressure will decrease. If this does not occur, phasing of the power supply must be verified.

After start-up has been completed, all setpoints will be set to default values unless otherwise requested. If the setpoints require changing in the future, contact Product Technical Support for assistance. There may be additional charges for a JCI Technician to return and adjust setpoints.
