Dear friends and donors, Charity organization Serbs for Serbs registered in the state of Illinois in United States in Jun 2010 by the group of the Serbian youth. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization. Donation is tax-deductible to the extent followed by the law. On 30th September, 2011 we finally got the letter from department of the treasury (IRS) with tax exempt 501(c)3 approval. All donations to our organization donated from June 16, 2010 are tax deductible under section 170 of the Code. We are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers of gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.

About Us The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Americans, Serbs and their friends through planned projects, social and humanitarian activities in order to develop and foster better society for future generations and provide aid for underprivileged families in need. Although there are many humanitarian organizations and associations, help often doesn't reach the most jeopardized. Due to unnecessary administration, missing information and slow decision making, the delivery of aid arrives too late to the final consumers, or not at all. It is a sad and embarrassing, but true fact that more than 18.000 children daily die around the world because of starvation and malnutrition. There, among us, the blind and deaf. We are witnesses of the bad demographic situation of our nation, decreasing natality, increasing number of singles, abortions, accelerated aging of

the population and generally bad economic condition of the households in Serbia, Republic of Srpska and other countries in the Balkan. An average couple has "fallen" on one child. Analysts warn that Serbs will become a minority in its own country in the following century if the nation, individuals and government don't wake up from the nescient in which they've fallen! On the other hand, nobody is talking about the families with many children which grieve by living in bitter poverty. Occupied by their everyday struggle for survival, they are being humbly in their desire for implementing rights which belong to them. Their life stories, fears and problems are identical, but almost invisible and unheard in order to gain the attention of the public, media and even state. That's why the idea of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs arose. The organization was formed by a group of young and trustful people, who are united by the common vision of helping families blessed by many children and who are aware of the fact that even a small help means a lot for those who don't live in a material excess. We are united by the humane idea to help the poorest part of the Serbian nation. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs try to revive the spiritless energy of the Serbian Diaspora which would be able to reinforce people of Serbian heritage as well as all good people throughout the world with minimal, but constant monthly donations. We hope and believe that there is also a grain of doing good and that you will join us in the endless struggle against poverty. God bless and save all Serbian families with many children and our honored donors who participate in the noble effort to return smile on children faces.

Ambitions

Our mission The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Serbian people through our projects and humanitarian activities, in order to develop better society for future generations. Why Serbs for Serbs? We wanted to alleviate impaired spirit of Serbian people in togetherness and brotherhood help through humanitarian work and social aid. Who do we help? We help Serbian families who live in the Balkans, have five or more children and live in terrible poverty. Under terrible poverty we define absence of one or more basic factors required for living: food, clothes, shoes, and safe space for living. Why do we help? We believe that there is a basic need for one human (or a group) to help others in distress. A help is not only human virtue but also a Christian responsibility. By focusing our help on families with many children, we directly affect on their stirring toward becoming independent from social-dependable government programs. What are our long term goals? • family is ready to support itself daily and

manage to pay all required expenses; • their children are encouraged to continue

with school and raising their own family; • our donors are satisfied with the activities

and they are ready to help other families; • our organization is satisfied with the results; • family is ready in the future to become our

donor and if necessary help other families that are in need of help.

Who do we need in organization? We need members and donors that will secure financial stability through supporting our programs and activities in the future. Donors may join our daily activities within the organization in order to coordinate our work better. We also need volunteers ready to donate several hours per week for actual work within the organization. Activities of volunteers and their specific tasks would be determined by the required projects and their personal interest. From that group of volunteers we would look for future leaders of organization.

HELP TO FAMILY OKILJ IN THE REPABLIC OF SRPSKA

Charity organization Serbs for Serbs helped a year ago a six-member family Okilj from the settlement Pticijak near Rogatica in the Republic of Srpska by providing wood-burning stove and a package of food. Members of the family are parents Dragan and Gordana with children Andjela (6), Nikola (4), Andrea (3) and the youngest Kristijan (2). Another trouble came when the old machine broke down, so we bought a new washing machine in the amount of 439 KM. We also previously bought a package of food in the amount of 324.28 KM.

Their house was burnt down at the end of June last year and they are currently living in Pale in other people’s house with Gordana’s mother. During the war Dragan Okilj came to Rogatica. His family managed to buy the house in which they all lived.

The Rogatica municipality helped them in recovery of the desolation and at first time the family thought that they would be able to come back to their home.

Mother Gordana whit their children whit package of

food that we provided them

Gordana asked us then to help them in buying the washing machine once they moved. She had been using her mother’s she couldn’t carry, because it was old and worn out. The family was grateful for another help they received. SZS VISITING VUKOVIC FAMILY FROM PRIJEPOLJE

At the end of August, members of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs visited the eight-member Vukovic family from the village of Dusmanici, near Prijepolje. A turning near Prijepolje leads to one of the highest and furthest hills and the family of Nenad and Ivana Vukovic. This is where they raise their five children! We met Nemanja (11), Martina (9), Stefan (8), Djordje (7), and Sladjan (6), who are growing up in this remote village, having numerous troubles in their young lives.

When we arrived at this remote, modest and honorable home, the oldest children were near the house, and, as usual, they were picking blackberries and other fruits the nature provides. The father, Nenad, provides for his family the best he can.

Their only income is 10,000 Dinars of child benefit and his wife’s pension in the same amount, and they barely manage to make ends meet.

The school and job opportunities are far away, and so are other people.

The Vukovic family members only have one another in this world, and only recently they found friends in good people of Prijepolje, who joined forces and built them a new house! This was definitely a commendable gesture, but they did not stop there – the same people who made contributions, also came, rolled up their sleeves and mixed mortar and laid bricks to make the new home for the Vukovic family.

The Charity organization Serbs for Serbs decided to join this extraordinary feat of Prijepolje residents and to try to help the Vukovic family some more. When we visited them at their new home and asked the head of the family how we could help them, he told us modestly and gratefully that the good people provided them with the house and windows, but that they still lack a front door and five room doors.

The Vukovic family needs 10,000 Euros to buy the necessary doors, to have their house plastered and insulated, to have water pipes installed, to fit out the bathroom and kitchen, to finish the second floor and fit out the rooms.

AID FOR TRIFKOVIC FAMILY FROM PALE

This summer, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs helped the seven-member Trifkovic family from Pale in the Republic of Srpska. The parents, Koja and Sandra, and their children, Damjan (21), Dimitrije (20), Tijana (18), Jovana (17), Marija (15). They were provided with attachments for motocultivator (tiller, plow, sickle bar mower), to the total value of 2,733 BAM.

The Trifkovic family members are diligent and hard working. The children have been raised in the spirit of Serbhood to be honest and hard working people.

They are all excellent students and the parents are struggling to provide the means for them to continue their education. The mother is a good housewife, dedicated to home and the children, while the father works hard doing all kinds of work, which he is now mastering.

The Trifkovic family would like to thank all good people, our donors, who made this purchase possible, and thus enabled them to work and put their children on the right path. The Charity organization SERBS FOR SERBS calls upon all friends and donors of the organization to join our fundraising action to help this family and other socially disadvantaged Serbian families with multiple children. ONGOING WORK AT NASKOVIC FAMILY HOME

The Charity organization Serbs for Serbs finished the first part of construction work on adapting the house of the six-member Naskovic family from the village of Kusce in Gnjilane Municipality, in Kosmet. We previously visited the family at the end of June this year, and on that occasion we perceived that they urgently needed help with fitting out their living space.

The family consists of the parents, Boban and Mikica, and their four underage children, Danijela (7), Teodora (3) and baby twins Aleksandar and Aleksandra (8 months). The family would like to thank all donors for their support. The work will be continued during October so that the Naskovic family could move into their new home before the winter.

AID FOR MIJATOVOC FAMILY FROM BANJA LUKA

At the beginning of summer, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs helped the six-member Mijatovic family from the village of Borkovici, 15 kilometers away from Banja Luka.

Work in progress

The family consists of the parents, Nenad and Milijana, and their four children, Nebojsa (19), Miroslav (17), Darko (16), and Zorica (14). The aid consisted of doors and windows, floor insulation, water pipes installation and plastering, to total value of 4,813 BAM.

The oldest son, Nebojsa, suffers from a developmental disorder, with epileptic seizures. No one in the family is employed. Nenad is a war invalid, who works for daily wages when there is work to do. The Mijatovic family home only has the ground floor and it has a mono-pitched roof. The interior walls are not plastered, and there is no floor. They put carpets and rugs over the bare concrete. Their furniture consists of one couch, three beds and a wood-burning stove, which they use to heat the house. They keep their clothes in cardboard boxes.

After our visit, a decision was made to help the Mijatovic family by doing some work on their house: the screed was laid (floor insulation), the walls were plastered, the windows were installed, interior doors and also a front were bought and installed. A nearby spring was used to supply water to the house and the pipes were installed in the kitchen and bathroom. This action created normal living conditions for the Mijatovic family.

The Mijatovic family would like to thank our donors who made all this possible. We hope that in the future we will be able to buy the Mijatovic family some furniture and install floor and tiles.

The first family we visited and helped in the area of Gracac was the Stanisavljevic family, consisting of the parents, Milorad and Jasna, and their four underage children, Kristina (11), Jelena (8), and the twins, Jovica and Milica (3). The family was provided with a wood-burning stove, to the value of 560 Euros.

Not far from this family, we helped their relatives, another Stanisavljevic family, consisting of the parents, Vladimir and Miljana, and their children, Milan (10), Marko (7), and baby Nikola (6 months). We helped this household also by purchasing a wood-burning stove.

After that, we visited the six-member Bjelanovic family, our old acquaintances, in the vicinity of Kistanje. We saw that the work on the story upgrade is going well. The work on the story upgrade is funded by our organization, with generous support of friends and donors of the Canadian chapter of SERBS FOR SERBS.

SERBS FOR SERBS visiting the Krka Monastery

The last family we visited near Obrovac was also the family that we had helped several times before. It was the Baljak family, counting eight members, six of which are children. In the meantime, one of the daughters got married, so there are five children living in the family at the moment. The reason of our visit was starting a small project in the near future, aimed at adapting one building at the Baljaks’ small estate for current and future needs of the youngest members.

After Dalmatia, we continued our journey towards Lika and the area of Donji Lapac, where after a long time, we visited three families. The first family we visited in the village of Dnopolje was the Vojnovic family, consisting of the parents, Djoko and Nikolina, and their three sons, Luka (7), Miroslav (5), and Djordje (2). We helped this young and hard working family by purchasing material and elements for bathroom fit out.

The last family we helped in the area of Donji Lapac was the family of Sasa and Kristina Balac. There are three children in the Balac family: Gorana (14), Nemanja (4), and baby Natasa (8 months). We provided this hard working family with a power generator for their future cattle farm, and a gas electric combination stove.

Once again we helped in Kordun. This time it was the Madjeric family from the village of Vojisnica near Vojnic. The family consists of the parents, Mile and Biljana, and the children, Dragan (12) and Dragana (10). Unfortunately, Dragan has serious health problems, caused by doctors’ error when he was born and after that Dragan’s health was irreversibly ruined. We provided the hard working householder, Mile, with a used wood splitter, which he will be able to use for providing additional income for his troubled family.

We continued our journey towards Glina and the village of Drenovac, where we visited the Arbutina family. We had previously helped this family as part of our Easter action by purchasing construction material. This time, we helped the Arbutinas by purchasing plasterboards, so they could finish work inside their newly built house, whose construction had been started thanks to our donation in the previous action. Unfortunately, one of the children in the Arbutina family also has serious health problems. The parents, Zoran and Ljiljana, have four lovely daughters, Sara (10), Petra (8), and the twins, Martina and Nikolina (3).

In this action, once again we helped the Tadic family, consisting of the parents, Nikola and Dragana, and their children, Dejana (14) and Zoran (12). They live near Dvor na Uni and we had visited them earlier during the Easter action. Because of that, and having little time, we could not visit the Tadic family personally this time, but they sent us their greetings, thanking us for the delivery of the washing machine with a water tank.

We finished the action in a place called Komogovina, with a repeated visit to the family of Djuka and Ljubica Sestic. We had helped this very hard working family several times before by purchasing construction material and on this occasion we saw the results of their hard work.

What once was completely unfitted second floor with bare walls now is a space with real and cozy children’s rooms for the three youngest Sestic family members. In order for them to be ready for the start of the school year and the upcoming cold days, we provided them with a wood-burning stove, which can heat the entire floor with the rooms where Milica (11), Milos (9), and Radovan (7) sleep.

Youngest Sestic family members moved into their newly

furnished rooms

This action successfully concluded all our planned activities in the area of Krajina for 2015. We hope that we succeeded to some extent in improving living conditions for the young ones, but also for their parents. The problems that our people faces daily in the area of Krajina have not changed and we will not point them out this time.

But we will try hard to continue providing our Krajisniks with aid which will be more specific and purposeful, above all to ensure economic stability and independence for as many families as possible.

SERBS FOR SERBS in front of the Ocestvo Monastery

New challenges are already ahead of us at the beginning of the next year in the new Christmas action, so we hope that each successfully conducted action, as was this one, will stimulate even more people to support our constant charity activities in the area of Krajina. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the priesthood of the Dalmatia and Upper Karlovac Dioceses for their efforts and dedication.

Additional farm expansion will provide a secure job for six workers, and the income made from selling milk and dairy products will be used for ensuring the unobstructed work of soup kitchens in Kosmet, which daily provide meal for over 2,000 people. The day before the farm opening, the NGO “Majka devet Jugovica” had celebrated its Slava, Nativity of the Virgin, known as Mala Gospojina at the Gracanica Monastery. The president of the organization, presbytera Svetlana Stevic, addressed the people present at the farm opening in Novo Brdo, saying: “Thank you, brothers and sisters, for your wholehearted support. You are our backbone through difficult times, which are inevitably part of every work. Thank you for joining us in feeding, clothing and putting roofs over the heads of the suffering Serbian people, who appreciates it very much. And, we pray to the Lord, who sees it, to reward your good deeds.”

Goats and sheep are put in the same facility

There are also chickens, hens and turkeys on the farm

Big threshing barn was also built through the donation

of the organization Serbs for Serbs

Thanks to donors and friends of the organization, the Charity organization SERBS FOR SERBS will continue to support actively the implementation of both charity and economic projects aimed at helping Serbian people throughout Kosmet, in order to provide a safe future for the remaining Serbian people in this sacred but suffering Serbian territory.

COW FOR LAZAREVIC FAMILY FROM OZREN

The Charity organization Serbs for Serbs helped the nine-member Lazarevic family from the village of Okoliste near Doboj. The parents, Sladjan and Ruzica, have five children: Zeljko (10), Bojana (9), Zeljana(7), Slavica (5), and Darko (3). Sladjan’s mother, Milenka, and his sister Vedrana, who is eight years old, also live with them in the same household. Our last visit to the Lazarevic family was in April, when we agreed on providing them a cow, which we purchased for 2,250 BAM.

Father Sladjan with his children, welcoming the cow

The Lazarevic family is on a very tight budget. Sladjan earns a small income, working as a seasonal worker in the “Sume Republike Srpske” company (SRS), and that is how he is trying to provide for his family. Wishing to increase their income, they addressed us with an appeal to provide them a cow.

To show how much this means to them, they built a stable and prepared baled hay while waiting.

With the financial help of donors, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs bought the cow, which the Lazarevic family had found in the nearby village.

The children were very happy to get the cow, and the whole family is very grateful to generous donors for the big aid.

BIG AID FOR MIHAJLOVIC FAMILY FROM SRPSKA

The Charity organization SERBS FOR SERBS successfully finished the project of helping the seven-member Mihajlovic family from Ugljevik in the Republic of Srpska. The project consisted of having their house insulated and painted and gutters and drainpipes installed. Apart from that, PVC windows were installed to prevent further deterioration of the house. The father of the family, Nenad (45), is a former volunteer of the Army of the Republic of Srpska. The mother, Renata (36), unfortunately has serious health problems. They are struggling to provide for their five children: Nemanja (13), Zeljana (8), Jovana (6), and the twins, Dajana and Srdjan (4), who have speech difficulties.

Youngest Mihajlovic family members at their home

(January 2015)

The organization SERBS FOR SERBS has helped the family three times so far. The first time was in 2012 when we took part in the action of the house construction, initiated by the Nemanjici-Ticino organization.

The second time as part of the Easter action of our organization in the Republic of Srpska, and the third time in December 2014, when answering the appeal of their humane fellow townspeople, we provided them with a package of basic groceries and some winter clothes in the amount of 529.28 BAM. The situation required an urgent reaction considering the fact that, unfortunately, the family is often starving, and the children are often getting sick due to hunger and cold.

Warm boots and winter clothes for the youngest

Mihajlovic family members

The house where the Mihajlovic family lives is unfinished, so the whole family stays in one room. Due to lack of beds, some of them sleep on the floor. The ground around the house wasn’t graded properly and is lower than the surrounding ground, so they have problems with water collecting around the house. This leads to the house having mold, and the children having colds and not being able to spend time outside.

Nemanja’s biggest wish is to have a room of his own, where he could study and do drawing, which is his favorite hobby. Željana doesn’t have a room to study in either, because there is no heating or furniture in other rooms.

The look of the house and yard when we visited the

Mihajlovic family at the beginning of the year

In order to prevent further deterioration of the house, during July and August, the organization financed the insulation, house painting, installing gutters and drainpipes, fixing the roof, installing PVC windows and interior doors upstairs, in the amount of 5,139 BAM. All this will prevent mold and it will also enable easier and more economical heating of all the rooms in the house. It will also be possible to continue with the work on the inside of the house, so the children could have their rooms and space for playing and studying. NEW BATHROOM FOR VOJNICS IN BOLJEVAC

Members of family Vojnic in their home with the

representatives of the organization

On Saturday, September 26, representatives of the organization SERBS FOR SERBS conducted a working visit to Boljevac. The reason for visiting this beautiful place located at the foot of the mountain Rtanj was very nice – only a month and a half after the second annual “Trojka iz bloka” in a row was held, the works on reconstruction and equipping of the bathroom for family Vojnic came to an end and thus marked the end of action of help to this seven-member family! Family Vojnic consists of father Sinisa and mother Sladjana with their five daughters – Sandra (20), Sanja (16), Sara (13), Saska (9) and Sofija (3).

Family Vojnic

On this occasion we thank our friends from the Sport Alliance of Boljevac Municipality. All the sponsors and people of good will from Boljevac who made joint effort and contributed to keeping one of the most successful tournaments “Trojka iz bloka” and to realize the goal we all set before the tournament – to help the Vojnics.

State of the family Vojnic bathroom during the first visit

However, the best came right before the end of the reconstruction of the bathroom for Vojnics. The biggest and greatest verification that “Trojka iz bloka” leaves nobody indifferent, whether people who are helping or the ones who are being helped, came from family Milosavljevic from the Lukovo village near Boljevac, whom we also helped in building and equipping the bathroom and by providing a cow and a calf after the first “Trojka iz bloka” help in this town.

Namely, the Milosavljevics contacted us and expressed the desire to donate the calf which we bought for them last year, and which grew up into a healthy heifer, to the Vojnics in order to contribute and help others in the same manner help was offered to them.

Precisely these gestures, when one socially disadvantaged family “stands on its feet” and become a donor to another socially disadvantaged family, represent the peak of our work because they send clear message to us and our friends and donors worldwide that the mission of the Charity organization SERBS FOR SERBS is not only an ideal to which we aim, but the goal we can surely achieve together! With God’s help, we will shoot three-pointers the next year again and help the socially disadvantaged families in Boljevac and its surrounding.

TROJKA IZ BLOKA 3rd TIME IN KRAGUJEVAC

On Saturday September 5 in Great Park in Kragujevac in the Park hall the third sport-charity tournament “Trojka iz bloka” was organized with 58 applied contestants for quick shooting three-pointers and we collected 19.830 dinars!

Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from Belgrade, Clean Serbia Movement and the Association of Youth from Kragujevac gathered again the true fans of basketball in order to contribute together to the great mission of “Trojka iz bloka” – building and reconstruction of bathrooms for the socially disadvantaged multiple children families throughout Serbia and the Balkan!

Another brilliant performance of Danica Krstic on the

tournament “Trojka iz bloka”

Shortly after 13h a popular ethno singer Danica Krstic performed the anthem of the Republic of Serbia God of Justice and thus ceremoniously opened the tournament in Kragujevac the second year in a row. Aleksandar Aleksic on behalf of the Clean Serbia Movement and Milos Simovic who is a representative of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs addressed the gathered crowd afterwards. They thanked the citizens of Kragujevac for their support which lasts for years, and then they asked the basketball player from Kragujevac Julijan Bogdanovic to open the competition part of the tournament by shooting three-pointer.

The best season of “Trojka iz bloka” opened the last month of the hot summer which is fading away. September begun in Kragujevac, it continues on Kalemegdan, and travels all the way to New York and Pale! The European Basketball Championship also begun and the players of coach Sale Djordjevic gave us joy with great victory! The winning spirit was present in the Park hall shortly before the representation of Serbia came out on the field! In our tournaments everyone is a winner because together we overcome the dark present and make more beautiful future for the children from the disadvantaged families who really need us and who are our future! Charity organization Serbs for Serbs thanks the Association of Youth and the Clean Serbia Movement for selfless effort and endeavor they showed throughout all these years – from the organization and promotion of the event to volunteering on the tournament. The Association of Youth collected 5.000 dinars during the Youth Week on a charity party, and together with 14.830 dinars collected on the tournament makes total amount of 19.830 dinars.

We congratulate the winners and citizens of Kragujevac on another charity accomplishment by which they show that our little mean a lot to someone and that they will continue to fight with all their forces to make the future of Serbia more beautiful! This year, Kragujevac received special support from our great friends, young and talented musicians, rapper Uncle Dzo and official DJ of “Trojka iz bloka” Sale L, member of one of the most popular rap groups in Serbia, THC La Familija. The tournament in Kragujevac promises to be even better next year and the energy, will and certainty of young people from Kragujevac are sufficient signs of that. See you next year in Kragujevac!

SPECTACLE ON KALEMEGDAN!

On Sunday, September 6 in 19h the second “Trojka iz bloka” was held on Kalemegdan! More than 2.000 people attended the spectacle in the mere centre of Belgrade, 154 contestants applied for the competition in fast shooting three-pointers, and we collected 136.240 dinars and 20 EUR! Thanks everyone who were with us, who participated and by attending supported the central tournament in the best season of tournaments in open so far! The crowded grandstand of the Partizan basketball fields showed how citizens of Belgrade felt of the project “Trojka iz bloka” of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs: it is our child, which has grown so much in only four years, seen and helped people worldwide, and has become unique as a symbol of benevolence and sport in the best spirit of tradition of the Serbian people.

As the evening was falling down upon the confluence of the Sava and the Danube rivers, the speakers beneath the Sahat-kula were playing the anthem of the Republic of Serbia in the performance of the young singing hope Andjela Tasic. “Trojka iz bloka” officially begun!

tournament “Trojka iz bloka”

At the very beginning of the tournament on basket no. 1 (and there were 4 of them) celebrities who came to support the second spectacle on Kalemegdan gathered and had shots at the basket: Nedeljko Jovanovic (handball player), Aleksandar Smiljanic (basketball player), volleyball players Aleksandar Atanasijevic, Neven Majstorovic and Nikola Rosic, former basketball player Jasmina Aleksandrov, Marko Bulat and stuntman Uros Certic who managed to come and join us despite his many duties.

With much laughter and as much as five balls shot towards the basket, the first contestants appeared. The official DJ of “Trojka iz bloka” Sale L THCF was up to the task – the passers-by who were standing and listening to the music would eventually come to apply for the tournament while Bore and Stefan from THC La Familija were wholeheartedly calling and cheering them.

The magic of “Trojka iz bloka” was complete when these boys started rapping their hits and shortly took over the field from the contestants – they were singing a song dedicated to our golden basketball players who are racking up victories on the European Championship! Many media broadcasted the wonderful picture, including the national broadcasting service RTS, Sport Network, Sputnjik, while sportuzivo.tv was broadcasting the tournament live as well as last year, on which we use this opportunity to thank them.

Bosko Cirkovic Skabo, Beogradski Sindikat

The spectacle on Kalemegdan attracted great number of visitors, and Charity organization Serbs for Serbs tried to gave its best – the rich program lasted until late at night. Three-pointers and failures were taking turns, as well as performances. The dancing studio Flaj came with two teams, and to the particular joy of the male audience, the girls in provocative red skirts and with basketball balls came out first and performed the dance on the level of the world players and majorettes.

A great friend of the project “Trojka iz bloka” Bosko Cirkovic Skabo from the group Beogradski Sindikat sung several of his songs, while at the same time the boys from SVEBOR were on the lawn beneath the fortress showing what they know and practice by cherishing the tradition of the Serbian chivalrous fight. The boys from Kick box club Pobednik who support the project “Trojka iz bloka” whenever they can also had a demonstration of skill. Bore and Stefan dedicated their first sport anthem to those boys, and the audience on Kalemegdan had the opportunity to hear it live. Music and sport in incredible relation on the tournament “Trojka iz bloka”. Led by verses the diligent sportsmen were gaining wings and the applause from grandstand was showing to everyone passing by that the magic was there, among them.

Finalists of the tournament “Trojka iz bloka”

Charity organization Serbs for Serbs thanks its proud sponsors, donors and technical sponsors, as well as media and celebrities who have supported and are still supporting the tournament “Trojka iz bloka” all these years. Special thank for the tournament on Kalemegdan goes to the Basketball club Partizan for ceded fields, as well the Basketball Association of Serbia and JP Kalemegdanska tvrdjava for their selfless help and support in organization. While our boys are shooting three-pointers in Germany, we found the best shooters on the tournament and gave them the brightest medals. Nikola Pejovic with 22 points won the first place, Dusan Repajic with 20 points won the second place, while Nikola Tiosavljevic with 16 points won the third place. We congratulate everyone who was with us in the biggest day for our tournament! We presented “Trojka iz bloka” as befits! The best received the medals, Nikola Pejovic took the trophy and all of us received much more – the feeling while leaving the tournament, the feeling due to which one is coming back to the tournament, the feeling due to which one can hardly wait for the next – the help to our youngest fellow citizens! The children are our future, and we are doing all this for them!

The children are the ones who are most numerous visitors on our tournaments and who felt the mission of “Trojka iz bloka”, and along with them, honestly and wholeheartedly, we all go!

Some time before the end of the tournament, the lights on the fields were shut down. But it wasn’t due to some problems, on the contrary. The conditions were set for the performance of unique dancing group in Serbia UV Dance. The lights on the outfit with the dancing movements in the dark were effective – the children from grandstand rushed right after the performance to take a photo with the unusual dancing “aliens” who presented their magic. Prior to them, Fanky Boys Flaj from the dancing studio Fral performed something quite the opposite with the awning on the field reminded the fans of the street culture and rap on break dancers and won the sympathies with their stunts. The tournament on Kalemegdan was another in a row in which the friend of the project “Trojka iz bloka” Uncle Dzo presented its verses.

“TROJKA IZ BLOKA” IN REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA

On Sunday, September 27, the first “Trojka iz Bloka” Tournament in the Republic of Srpska was held at the “Peki” Sports Center in Pale! We set up a new level and entered the Republic of Srpska with style! Hundreds of Pale residents came to watch the 3-point shooting competition, about 55 of them participated, and 1,047 BAM and 30 Euros were raised! This big aid was intended for the Mandic family with four children from Pale. All of us gathered and showed them that they are not alone and forgotten.

Marijana Kapuran opened the tournament singing the

anthem “Boze Pravde”

The spirit of benevolence and unity overcame the “Peki” sports center, which was almost full, despite the rain and bad weather. The tournament was opened with the solemn performance of the anthem Boze Pravde by the young Marijana Kapuran, who won the hearts of everybody present with her looks and her voice. After the solemn introduction, the spectators were addressed by Jovana Zeljaja, main coordinator of the “Trojka iz Bloka” for the Republic of Srpska.

She greeted the people present and thanked them for taking the time and money for the noble mission of the “Trojka iz Bloka”.

Jovana Zeljaja and Milos Simovic, representatives of the

organization Serbs for Serbs

The people were also addressed by Milos Simovic, representative of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs, Stefan Stajcic, president of the Students’ Association of the “Pravnik” Law School, and Sinisa Lasica, deputy mayor of Pale Municipality. At the very beginning, sponsors of the tournament in Pale received acknowledgements from the sports-charity “Trojka iz Bloka” project, after which the project manager Mladen Matijasevic opened the tournament with a shot, together with one of the youngest participants.

The Charity organization Serbs for Serbs would like to thank all proud sponsors, donors and technical sponsors who contributed to the fact that the tournament in Pale started a new tradition of tournaments in the Republic of Srpska in the best possible way. Big and significant support came from our sponsors in Pale: Kristal Hotel, Rinaldi Restaurant, “Aquarius” Café, Pale Municipality, “INLingua” Language Center, MIN printing, ZOO VET vet clinic, Klas Bakery, Milkus D.O.O., “Majnex” D.O.O., Pale Sports-Cultural Center and Sarajevo invest. The “Peki” Sports Center was the technical sponsor of the tournament; “INLingua” Language Center gave one-year course of foreign languages to one child from the Mandic family, while the “Majnex” D.O.O. made a donation consisting of blocks for bathroom construction for the Mandic family. We would like to thank the good people from Pale because they showed everybody how we should care for our disadvantaged neighbors! We were proud to be in this famous town and we cannot wait for the next season of outdoor tournaments, when we plan on visiting many more towns and cities in our Republic of Srpska!

As always at the “Trojka iz Bloka” Tournaments, we prepared a few surprises. Legendary Belgrade DJ, Paja Koba33, was with us and played foreign and domestic hits during the tournament and provided music background for two young rappers who came with us from Serbia: Uncle Dzo and Eldorado. Young theologian Uncle Dzo has been a part of the “Trojka iz Bloka” mission for a very long time, and this time he brought backup at the microphone – his friend and colleague Eldorado. Young Pale residents were delighted by the performance of their favorite rappers, and everybody at the hall was waiting impatiently for the special spectacle which was part of the tournament – performance of the “Romanija” Karate Club members.

50 YEARS OF ST.NIKOLA CHURCH IN CHICAGO

The Chicago chapter of Serbs for Serbs attended the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Sv. Nikola Serbian Orthodox Church in Brookfield, IL on Saturday and Sunday September 12 and 13. We wanted to show our support for the church as well as to help raise awareness of our organizations and collect donations. We had many visitors to our booth who were introduced to the organization for the first time as well as visitors who were very familiar with our charity work. We were able to collect $460 in donations for the two days we were there.

Sv. Nikola and it's folklore group Moravac have support the work of Serbs for Serbs for many years. We hope to continue to attend their events for many years to come and continue this great relationship. We were also visited by members of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church from Joliet, IL who has also been following our work online for a long time. They have invited us to attend one of their church events this coming weekend so that we can meet their parishioners in person. We will eagerly join them next weekend at their church.

We would like to thank all of the people who visited our booth and everyone who were kind enough to make a donation. We hope that we can continue attending similar events in the Chicago area and continue increase the awareness of our charity work and organization.
