We start our 1800 mile road trip across America with a visit to Ellis Island – complete with some history ofwhat it was like for early immigrants. We stop in New York City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Dutch Country,Hershey, Gettysburg, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, South Bend, Indianapolis, Chicago, Dyersville andKearney before getting home to Denver. It is a trip you will enjoy and likely visit places you have neverbeen to.

Come take a walk down memory lane withAmanda as she invites you into her kitchen and shares some of her favorite appetizer recipes dating threegenerations back. Armed with Grammy's cookbook, she will show you how to prep and prepare each oneand provide you with recipe cards to share with your family and friends. More importantly, we all get toenjoy something tasty before heading to the dining room for dinner...a lovely way to start any evening. Amanda hopes that you too will take a walk down memory lane and share recipes from your cook bookthat you remember making so she can continue to add to her most treasured treats. After all, appetizersare served first, so of course, they have to be the best part of any multi-course meal! Plus, they providean excellent opportunity for socializing and sharing! Becoming the Universityof Tampa...from hotel tocollege...a history of thishistoric Tampa landmark

Did you know that the University of Tampa was once a defunct hotel that was built by the great railroadmagnate Henry B. Plant?? The University of Tampa was not always the regionally accredited institutionthat is now a staple of the Tampa skyline. Come discover the rich history and facts about the beautifulbuilding that started it all and is now a historic landmark. Learn about the trials and tributes both theuniversity and the building faced throughout the course of history and it's architectural impact. Whichfamous people stepped foot on this beautiful campus? What is a minaret exactly? Come take a walkthrough time as you explore Amanda's Alma mater. For our last class held in December (date/time TBD),we will be planning a trip to the Henry B. Plant museum which is part of the university's campus for theannual Victorian Christmas Stroll. Class will meet the second Tuesday of each month at 2 PM in theCypress Theater - Tuesday, September 10; Tuesday, October 8; & Tuesday, November 12. The Decemberclass will be a trip and the date and time will be determined later in the semester.

Fitness boxing is a great aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise gets your heart pumping and helps lower therisk of high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. It can strengthen bones and muscles, burnmore calories, and lift your mood. But not all boxing classes are created equal. Now, we all know Amandalikes to add a spin on everything, and boxing is no exception. Amanda has trained with the "new" RayRobinson both in and out of the ring...now she is bringing her boxing skills to the chair and to you! She isgoing to introduce boxing in a whole new way that will help you get the blood flowing and increase muscletone, and of course, she is bringing the fun! The fall season to me embarks on a season of family gatherings and holiday parties with lots of food anddesserts. We are going to piggy back on the dessert train and bake up a storm. September starts the fallseason and while other places start to cool off, we are still a bit warm in Florida. That does not stop usfrom partaking! Figs are in full swing for the month of September and boy o boy are they delicious andsweet. Get yourself ready to make a honey rosemary upside-down fig cake. I know what you are thinkingwhen you hear rosemary in a cake…but just you wait... taste it and see for yourself. October as we all knowis known for Halloween but also screams pumpkin, so we must indulge. Get your costumes ready and holdon to your masks, because we are going to make a pumpkin roll. No we are not going to roll pumpkins, it’sa cake silly... This cinnamon cake is wonderful! It has pecans and is filled with sweet cream cheese. Canyou say YUM… Aww Thanksgiving or November as some people know it, is all about turkey, turkey, turkey,and cranberry sauce. I say let’s forget the turkey and lets do some cookies. Now we are not just bakingsome plain sugar cookies, but some white chocolate cranberry cookies. I know we are early for milk andcookies with Santa, but I think that you will love these. Now I can think of no better way to end this holidayseason without making some Oreo truffles. These simple, but oh so good little bites are delish! Oreosdipped in white chocolate (I mean you can’t go wrong with that). So I hope everyone comes to try one, nowait come and try all of these treats. Enjoy the fall/holiday season, spread some cheer, laughs andwelcome the good times.

Lisa has designed a dance fitness class that will make exercising fun for everyone! Carly will provideindividualized assistance to ensure everyone receives the maximum benefit. Mornings have never felt sogood!

In this 3 series class we will be discussing and exploring coral reefs around the globe. First we will watch adocumentary "chasing coral" as a discussion started for an in-depth study of coral. In our second class wewill learn about the species of Sea Turtles that live In Florida, understand their nesting process anddiscover how turtles and their nests are protected. We will also learn about The Florida Aquarium's SeaTurtle rehabilitation program. Lastly, in the third class, we will cover the relationships of fossil fuel energyutilization to greenhouse gas formation. We will examine and challenge the facts and models which willconfidently engage you in social discussion on the topic. Come join Ashley during these three classes in theCypress Theater.

This fitness class promotes daily activity whichcan lead to a happy and healthy lifestyle for many years to come!

Zumba Gold Fitness Carrie Ingber Saturday • 10:00 am Cypress Theater

Zumba Gold is a version of Zumba which is a dance fitness program. Zumba Gold is specifically designed tomeet the physiological, psychological, and anatomical needs of the senior population. The choreography inZumba routines is created to complement Latin styles of music and can be performed either standing upor sitting down. Each week participants will learn steps and create routines. As each routine is masterednew ones will be introduced to correspond with new songs. Zumba Gold is taught by a certified instructorand is intended for all levels of physical ability.

Jennifer is the Sales Director at The Watermark at Trinity. She is a graduate from the University of SouthFlorida with a Bachelor’s in Social Work. She began working at our sister property, The Fountains of BocaCiega Bay, in St. Petersburg. Jennifer grew up in the area and is lucky to have family close by. Jennifer is anavid animal lover and her best friend is her dog, Samson. She loves being outside taking walks withSamson, working on her orchids, and boating. Jennifer recently got married and is very happy!Jennifer truly enjoys her job. She prides herself on being a resource for seniors in every aspect of SeniorLiving!

Jazzmin Cabrera A Dessert Kind of Night, Homemade at Heart,Coffee Around the World,

Jazzmin is a Community Life Associate at The Watermark at Trinity. She graduated in the Spring of 2017from Ridgewood High School and began her first career in Assisted Living with us in August 2017 as acaregiver. She is the youngest of three children and many people would describe her as being shy. Jazzminis grateful that this job has helped her grow as a person and she has found her passion working withresidents in Memory Care. Her personality fits this environment so well that she has devotedseveral Watermark University classes to these residents. Jazzmin will be leaving us soon to serve ourcountry. She recently enlisted in the US Navy and her career will be as a hospital corpsman. Congratulations Jazzmin we are so proud of you!

Lisa DeCamella Music and Movement, Creative Art Step by Step

Lisa is a personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and loves creating fun workouts withgreat upbeat music. She has over 20 years of experience as a dance educator and incorporates rhythm andflexibility exercises into her classes. Lisa also loves art. She has a Bachelor of Science in Advertising fromthe University of Florida which inspires her to create colorful and fun art projects that bring everyonetogether. Lisa pours her heart into each exercise and art class she teaches because she is focused onmaking everyone smile and bringing a little happiness to everyone’s day!

Pastor Hartman Hartman Cares Bible Study

Pastor Ed Hartman studied at Southeastern University and Gulf Coast Seminary. He retired as lead Pastorof the First Assembly of God Church in New Port Richey last December. Through his ministry HartmanCares he is committed to visiting, ministering, and providing fellowship to those not normally able toattend weekly church services.

Ileana is a portrait artist and instructor that hosts various classes throughout the tri-county area. She is aformer ALF Administrator who wants to share her passion of “The Golden Age of Hollywood” with theseniors she loved caring for. Ileana’s artwork has been displayed at events in Florida, California, and theUnited Kingdom. She loves drawing, sketching, and teaching others how to bring their artwork to the nextlevel.

Carrie Ingber Zumba Gold Fitness

Carrie is a certified Zumba & Zumba Gold instructor. She took up Zumba as a way to regain some strengthafter an accident but it has given her so much more. Zumba combines her love of music and dancing in oneactivity, which also happens to be great exercise and a wonderful social outlet. After four years as a Zumbastudent, Carrie decided to share her passion with others and became a certified instructor. Carrie hasprepared routines and music so each class will be something new to enjoy! When Carrie isn’t at a Zumbaclass herself or busy creating new routines, she is enjoying time with family and her three adorable dogs.

Amanda Jaxheimer is a Community Life Assistant at Watermark and truly believes in spreading the powerof "positivity." She came to us from University of South Florida where she worked as an Academic Advisorfor graduate students for the College of Nursing. She had been working in Higher Education for almost20 years, before deciding a career change was in order. She has a BA in English and Secondary Educationand a M.Ed in Higher Education and Curriculum and Instruction. Amanda is originally from Philadelphia,but moved back to Florida this past year to assist "Pop," her grandfather who just celebrated his 92ndbirthday! Amanda enjoys being active and outside. Her everyday goal is to get 17,000 steps (just ask tosee her FitBit)! She is currently studying to be an ACE certified personal trainer. When she isn't boppingaround Watermark, she can be found boxing, running, camping, hiking, traveling and stand up paddleboarding (not necessarily in that order)! She is always in search of mermaids and the perfect "Life isGood" t-shirt. Remember to do what you like and like what you do, because that is what she practices! Most importantly, Amanda is also the proud dog mom to Bartholomew (Bart), the chihuahua!

David Kendrick History of Halloween & Most Haunted Houses in The US

David Kendrick, a Kentucky native and father of two grown children has been a Florida transplant for 20years and resides with his wife Cile in Odessa. He has had the blessing of working in senior services forover 20 years as a Human Resources Director and is actively involved with multiple volunteer and serviceorganizations including the Shriners Hospitals for Children, the Hillsborough County Homeless Coalition,and the Veterans Administration. A die-hard Louisville Cardinals fan and Kentucky bourbon aficionado, helives by the saying that “ every day is an opportunity to impact someone’s life, pursue your opportunities”.

Lucille LaRosa Peachy Pet Therapy

Lucille is a new resident at Watermark. She has a vast education including a Masters degree from AdelphiUniv. Her work background includes early work as a jeweler in NYC. She also has traveled the world as aflight attendant and airline stewardess. She worked as a coordinator for travel writer ArthurFrommer. Lucille concluded her working life in the pharmaceutical industry, from which she retired. Shehas two children. Lucille enjoys giving back to her community with help from her therapy dog "Peaches"through the Canines for Christ organization.

Catherine, better known as Kate, is a Memory Care Naya on the day shift. She joined our team in Octoberand absolutely feels right at home here. Kate moved to Florida 3 years ago from Massachusetts where shewas a process tech engineer building sensors for a decade. She lives in Port Richey near her mother whorecently joined her in Florida. She has over 10 years experience in healthcare working as a CNA/Homehealth aide up north. Kate found her passion working with Alzheimer's & Dementia residents. One of hergoals is to make someone smile everyday. She always say's " Life is too short to be anything but happy!"

Josh Marlowe Culinary Creations

Josh is the Executive Chef and Dining Service Director at The Watermark at Trinity. His culinary careerstarted in his mother’s kitchen at the age of 15. After graduating culinary school and working at variousrestaurants, Josh found his way to our sister property, The Fountains of Boca Ciega Bay. Josh began as aSous Chef and as he worked his way up to Executive Chef, he found his calling for helping others. He leftfor two years to start his own restaurant in Fort Lauderdale but realized he missed the family environmentof senior living and came back to join the Trinity team. He believes in creating food that ignites the senses.His guiding principle for cooking is about getting back to the basics and creating dishes with simpleingredients and seasonings. Josh is excited to cater to all of the residents and hopefully learn a few newthings along the way!

Although no children of her own, she raised a foster child from the age of 12 who hasturned into a beautiful 22 year old young lady. Tatiana is and will forever be her daughter. Julie loves totravel and has been to many places including Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Peru, Mexico & theDominican Republic. She has been journaling since she was 18 yearsold. One day when the minister couldn't make it for bible study Lucy eagerly volunteered.
