September / Septiembre 23, 2018 Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time | Vigésimoquinto Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario

When a person is wanting to do something, they will try their best to make it happen.

When a person is willing on doing something, they will do it. Now, when a person wants to do something, and they

have the will to do it, they will achieve whatever it is they are wanting to achieve no matter what.

Many people want to do many things, but not all have the will to do so. It’s easy to say and call out everything we want, but it’s hard to get what you want when there

is no will. This is true, especially when we direct ourselves towards God. We want to be forgiven, but

continue to sin and make no effort to change. We want miracles but have no faith, or we loose that faith when things turn out the opposite of what we want. We want poverty to end, but we judge the unfortunate and drive

past them on the streets without caring. When there is no will, what use is there to ask and want? The will that

God gave us, is in us all. It is up to you to bring it out. To get what you want, you must work for it.

To achieve what you want, ask God for your will, and it will be achieved.

Cuando una persona quiere hacer algo, harán todo lo posible para que esto suceda. Cuando una persona está

dispuesta a hacer algo, lo harán. Ahora, cuando una persona quiere hacer algo y tiene la voluntad de

hacerlo, lograrán lo que sea que quieran lograr sin importar qué. Muchas personas quieren hacer muchas cosas, pero no todas tienen la voluntad de hacerlo. Es

fácil decir todo lo que queremos, pero es difícil obtener lo que quieres cuando no hay voluntad. Esto es cierto

especialmente cuando nos dirigimos a Dios. Queremos ser perdonados, pero continuaremos pecando y no haremos ningún esfuerzo por cambiar. Queremos

milagros pero no tenemos fe, o perdemos esa fe cuando las cosas salen lo contrario de lo que queremos.

Queremos que la pobreza termine, pero juzgamos a los desafortunados y los pasamos por las calles sin

preocuparnos. Cuando no hay voluntad, ¿de qué sirve preguntar y querer? La voluntad que Dios nos dio está

en todos nosotros. Depende de usted sacarlo. Para obtener lo que quieres, debes trabajar para ello.

Para lograr lo que desea, pídale a Dios por su voluntad, y se logrará.

a beverage container fund raiser! We will be collecting beverage cans, beverage plastic

bottles and beverage glass bottles the weekend of November 17 & 18 before the Saturday 6:00 Mass, the

Sunday 9:00 Mass and the Sunday 12:00 Mass. Please help us by sorting the beverage containers by

glass, plastic and cans at home. We are NOT able to accept any other recyclable

materials at this time. Thank you!

Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time: In today’s Gospel Jesus called the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.” Taking a child, he placed it in their midst, and putting his arms around it, he said to them, “Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me but the One who sent me.” Your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will help hungry children feel the arms of Jesus around them.
