Districts will begin developing their District Reading Plans soon!

The district reading plans will use our State Reading Plan as a guideline:

All schools need literacy teams in place! Literacy teams will work to write the school reading plans. Submission dates for district and school reading

plans will be determined soon!

District Needs:

Common language for writing nonnegotiables for students! What should a first grader's writing look like in our district? What should it look like in 4th grade, etc? We are all literacy teachers so this information should be shared across the district with science, math, social studies teachers, etc. We also need established writing rubrics that are based on quality writing....not the latest undetermined assessment!
