VIRTUS RE-CERTIFICATION: VIRTUS Re-certification will take place here tonight beginning at 6:30 pm in
the Parish Hall. If you need to have your fingerprints registered with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles,
please refer to link on the following page for a complete schedule or contact the rectory @ (626) 284-
8333 to schedule an appointment for October 10th at the Parish Hall. Please remember that all volun-
teers and chaperones must be fingerprinted through the Archdiocese and VIRTUS trained.
OPERATION GRATITUDE: To commemorate 9/11, St. Thomas More School will be sponsoring a
collection for Operation Gratitude care packages. This organization provides care packages for the
brave men and women who are stationed overseas. For a list of items needed, please see the attached
flyer. All items are due by Friday, September 11th. Students will also be making cards to be included in
the care packages on Friday, September 11th during our Family Day activity. Thank you and God bless
you for your support!
GRAND-FRIENDS’ DAY: On Monday, September 14th, we will be celebrating Grand-friends’ Day. Grand-
parents, great grandparents, great uncles, and aunts are welcome to attend Mass @ 8:30 am. Students
and their grand-friends’ will be treated to a continental breakfast after Mass in the Parish Hall. If you are
planning on attending or would like to make a donation (for service hours), please turn in the attached
form by Thursday, September 10th.
PRESCHOOL FAMILY BINGO NIGHT: On Friday, September 25th, the preschool will be hosting a bingo
night. Doors open at 6 pm and bingo will begin at 6:30 pm. Come and enjoy an evening of bingo, food,
prizes and fun for the whole family! Donations are still needed. Please see the flyers attached for more
information.
IN N OUT TOUR: We will host the In N Out Truck on Friday, September 25th from 11:30AM-1PM. Ask
your family, friends and co-workers to participate in this fundraising event while they enjoy a delicious
hamburger! See the enclosed flyer for more details on how to order. All orders must be submitted by
Thursday, September 17th. Submit one order form per family. Please contact the office if you are
planning to place a large order. If you have questions or would like to help, contact Mrs. Gomez @ (626)
482-1326.
WASHINGTON D.C. TRIP: Mrs. Rodriguez will be leading the Jr. high students on a trip to Washington
D.C. in March 2015. The deadline to register is October 29, 2015. There are 6 spots left. Click on the

PARKING LOT SAFETY: If you do not plan to use the valet service before or after school, kindly park in
the marked stalls. This avoids accidents and ensures that parents are able to leave in a timely manner.
Please remember to drive slowly and safely as you enter and exit the parking lot.
