Please join us for an exciting new venue at the annual Eastern Water Quality Association convention. This year’s convention will be held – September 25 – 27, 2019 at the Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Our golf tournament is sure to be one to remember as we play at the beautiful Jack Frost National Golf Club in Blakeslee, PA.

Renew friendships and make new ones as you enhance your B-2-B relationships with dealers and manufacturers in the Mid-Atlantic states. This year features stunning mountain views and a new exhibiting

format!

Remember, training and certification are key to your professional development and new business growth. Also, included are fun, views, new business opportunities and more. It all awaits you and it will leave a positive impression to take home.

Our welcome reception has become a hit for attendees as they visit with exhibitors, preview new products and share new business opportunities. This year the exhibit area is where the reception occurs. Attendees will also enjoy fantastic mountain vistas and more.

While the live auction has raised a lot of money for our association, we have decided change things up this year with some other fun activities, taking advantage of the beautiful property at

the Mohegan Sun Pocono. Instead of the traditional EWQA Auction, we will be hosting the First Annual EWQA Cornhole Tournament.

Attendees and exhibitors who attend the Banquet are eligible to compete. This is sure to be a good time. We will have live music and plenty of fun.

THE UNDERSIGNED FIRM, REFERRED TO HEREINAFTER AS “EXHIBITOR,” AGREES AS FOLLOWS:

1. EWQA will provide exhibit space and facilities in its 2019 Exhibition as described in the Exhibitor Information sheet and Application for Space.

2. Exhibitor understands that there are other charges for electrical power, special decorations, shipping and storage handling, which charges will be delineated in information provided by the Decorator.

3. Exhibitor will abide by the rules and regulations of EWQA as described and referenced in the 2019 Exhibit information.

4. Exhibitor will accept space assignment other than choices indicated in the event said choices are not available or are in conflict with previously assigned adjacent exhibits. EWQA reserves the right to move an Exhibitor to improve the appearance of the show.

5. Exhibitor may, if he desires, cancel the agreement and receive a refund less a service charge of $100.00, if written request is made by August 1, 2019.

6. Mohegan Sun Poconos, Wilkes-Barre, PA and/or EWQA shall not be liable to the Exhibitor for any damage to, or loss or destruction of, an exhibit or property of the Exhibitor by fire or other casualty, whether caused by negligence of Mohegan Sun Poconos, Wilkes-Barre PA PA or EWQA, their officers, agents, employees or otherwise.

7. Exhibitor assumes the entire responsibility and the liability for losses, damages and claims arising out of injury or damage to exhibitor’s displays, equipment and other property brought upon the premises of the hotel, and shall indemnify and hold harmless Mohegan Sun Poconos, Wilkes-Barre, PA and the Eastern Water Quality Association, and any authorized representative, agent or employee of the foregoing of any and all losses, damages and claims.

8. Exhibitors or their agents shall not injure or deface the walls or carpets of the building, the booths or the equipment of the booths. Exhibitors are forbidden to drive tacks, nails or screws into the walls or woodwork. When such damage appears, the Exhibitor is liable to the owner of the property so damaged.

9. EWQA reserves the right to refuse any exhibit or Exhibitor and further reserves the right to shut down any exhibit for breach of this agreement or for cause, in which event EWQA is liable only to the extent of refunding the exhibit fee.

This year, we will be doing something new and different. Instead of the traditional EWQA auction, we will be hosting the first annual cornhole tournament. Attendees and exhibitors who attend the Banquet are eligible to compete.

Here’s how it works:

1. Like the auction, you must attend the Banquet to be eligible.

13 ewQa sCholarshIp programEWQA INVESTS IN THE FUTURE OF WATER BY INVESTING IN STUDENTS

The $1,000 nonrenewable, EWQA Scholarship Program assists deserving students living within the membership area of EWQA (mid-Atlantic region), who are planning to study in a field related to the water treatment industry.

The student must provide proof of enrollment in an institution of higher education such as technical training, community college, Jr. College, University or the Water Quality Association’s various training and certification programs.

The Scholarship is based on academic achievement, community service, demonstrated leadership and potential contributions to the water treatment industry.

EWQA MEMBER COMPANY NOMINATIONS

EWQA Member Companies are encouraged to nominate students enrolled in a field of study leading to a career in the water treatment industry. Member companies may nominate employees, relatives of employees and other deserving individuals. Letters of recommendation from EWQA Member companies, teachers and leading civic leaders etc. are also accepted.

Additionally, all scholarship applicants will receive a free EWQA membership while the student is enrolled in an approved program.

3. Submit an essay (400 words maximum) on how this scholarship will help you in your water treatment career how you plan to make a difference in the water treatment industry through your education.

5. A completed and signed EWQA Membership application.

6. Letter(s) of recommendation from a teacher, employer etc. are encouraged.
