Families know how to reach each other. Make sure your St. Ann family is in the loop! Do we have the correct email, phone number and address on file? Now you can update your own record online. Go to www.stannpv.org/stayintouch. Follow the step-by-step directions and up-date your records by Oct. 30th to be entered in the raffle!

St. Ann Vocations Ministry is inviting individuals, couples,

and families to pray for voca-tions. Signing up is easy. Visit www.stannpv.org/prayerforvocations and

click on the sign-up and select which week-

end Mass works best. The Vocation Cross and prayer

booklet will come home with you for a week of prayer

time.

“No servant can serve two masters. He will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (wealth).” -Lk 16:13

Is money a “god” that you put before God? Giving money to support the Church and

other charity is a pillar of our faith, just like attending Mass every Sunday and participating in parish ministry. Giving money frees us from being a slave to money. It increases our dependence on God and our trust that God will provide all that we need.

Next Sunday, September 29th, is Priesthood Sunday. This annual observance provides us with the opportunity to honor and thank all who have minis-tered to us as priests

throughout the years. Take a few moments to remem-ber:

· The one who baptized you or your children? · Buried your loved ones? · The one who gave you First Holy Communion? · The one who presided at your wedding? · A priest who played an important part in your faith life?

Why not make contact via letter, card, or email just to let one or more of them know that you are still grateful? Why not write a note and include this Spiritual Bouquet (below) to send to a priest.

Cut here and add to your card or put in the collection next weekend: Dear Father: We have prepared a Spiritual Bouquet for you in gratitude: _____Masses ___ Holy Hours _____Rosaries ____Other

In a special way remember our priests who have served St. Ann Catholic Parish and School. Please remember our deceased pastors: Fr. Patrick Fitzgerald, Fr. William Dolan, Msgr. A.M. Har-vey, Msgr. William Curtin, Msgr. Thomas Culhane Previous pastors: Fr. Bill Haegelin, Fr. Steve Beseau, Msgr. Vincent Krische, Fr. John Riley and Fr. Keith Lunsford Current Pastor and assisting priests: Fr. Craig Maxim, Fr. Paul Sanders and Fr. Bruce Ansems

A reminder that October is Respect Life Month. From the office of the USCCB, Secretariat of Pro-Life activities, our very own Archbishop Naumann calls us to renew our commitment to accept responsibility to protect human life. Join Catholics nationwide in celebrating through the whole month of October. This year’s theme, Christ Our Hope: In Every Season of Life, is particularly suited for the times in which we live. The attacks against human life seem to grow more numerous and callous by the day. Despite these challenges, we know that Christ has conquered sin and death once and for all. Through our Christian hope in the Resurrection, we are given the grace to persevere in faith. Our sacrifices on behalf of the Gospel of Life can contribute to the redemption of this current culture of death.

Only a few more Sundays left of our New Roots Farmer’s Market. Purchase some produce be-fore it is all gone for the season. Thanks for the support this year.
