Two of our writers placed first nationally!

Vivi Allosso, a kindergarten student from Bemidji, MN, and Caleigh Gabriel, a third grade student from Fargo, ND, have received first place honors at the national level in the 2013 PBS Kids Go! Writers Contest. Their stories were entered in the national competition after they placed first in their grade level in Prairie Public’s local contest.

Allosso and Gabriel’s stories were chosen from thousands of entrants nationwide.

A Storied HistoryTune in Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. (CT) beginning September 17

Watch in September for Latino Americans, a landmark six-hour series and the first major television documentary series to chronicle the rich and varied history of Latinos. Actor Benjamin Bratt narrates the series.
