Pearland Pkwy/John Lizer Intersection
• CE status confirmed by TxDOT Austin
Environmental Division
• Held Public Meeting August 7th and meeting was
well attended (50+)
• Soundwall study
• Staff completed review of 30% plans
Pearland Parkway
• Pole Attachment permit from CenterPoint
• FHWA Authorization to Bid granted last week
• Advertise next week; bid opening 10/11
• Current updated cost estimate $3.65 million
ITS Project
• Max Road & Fite Road
– Consultants selected
– Scoping meeting held for Max Road
TIP Projects Update
• Miller Ranch Road
– Open
• O’Day Road – Open
• Old Alvin Road
– Pouring bridge rails
– Making base repairs & elevation adjustments to
roadway
– Possibly open by the end of the month
TxDOT Off-System Bridge
Replacements
• TxDOT and City completed walk-through on the
signals and punch list was created and returned to
TxDOT
Cullen Parkway – Phase I
• Paving of two lanes is now complete from
McHard Road to the Beltway
• Intersections on the west side are now complete
• Bridge is completed on west side of project
• Grading of right-of-way is now largely complete
on west side, sidewalks and sound walls complete
• Traffic switch scheduled for 3rd week of
September
Cullen Parkway – Phase II
Phase I Streetlights– McDonald/Willits to Clear Creek
• Completed construction
• Completed Substantial Completion and CenterPoint inspection
• CenterPoint initiated the install of street light poles
Dixie Farm Road
Phase II – Mary’s Creek Bypass to SH35
• No evident work on punch list
– Paver band repair
– Grading for drainage near Cowart’s Creek
Dixie Farm Road
• Completing punchlist items
Walnut Reconstruction
• The City and Contractor agreed on a resolution on
all outstanding issues
• Contractor performing corrective work and should
be complete in two weeks, weather permitting
Orange Street
• Coordinating with private utilities
• Coordinating meeting with County
• Obtained TxDOT permit
• 100% plans and specs revised, approved and signed
• Initiated advertisement for bids
Business Center Drive
• Broadway/Main Street intersection – Final segment should be completed by late September
• Paving work – The Orange intersection was poured back Saturday,
August 25th and opened for school traffic early Monday morning
– E. Plum intersection will be closed end of September for reconstruction, requiring approximately 10 days to complete
• Bridge work continuing
• Drainage – Contractor preparing to begin work on the storm trunk
lines along the east side of the project
SH35 – BW8 to FM518
• Consultant submittal received a “No Objections” from BNSF
• Plans are being finalized for submittal to TxDOT
• Staff plan to coordinate with BNSF lane reconstruction, BNSF repairs, and replacement of a portion of equipment at the crossing with the railroad’s track maintenance supervisor

Drainage Projects
Diversion Ditch
• Slope paving contractor underway
• Channel excavation has reached CR 100
• DD4 received bids for CR100 to CR101 segment hauling
• CR100 to CR101 segment to begin by end of September
Pump Station
• Concrete Poured for 2nd lift of wet-well wall
Re-grading of Roadside Ditches
• Consultant continued working to resolve utility conflicts on Wayne Dr. and depth of cover issues on Holland
Cowart Creek Diversion
• Reviewed and approved the design contract
• Received 30% design plans for review
Westchester Sidewalk and Drainage
• Drainage Study completed
• 90% on PER; 100% draft due this week
• Geotech field work underway
• Reviewing options for implementing a regional plan
Cullen Regional Detention
Facility Projects
• Design contract executed
• Design schedule for 60 days
• Predevelopment meeting & meeting with Brazoria County last week

• Final submittal due to USGBC next week

• Demolition of thickener 100% complete.

• Contractor on schedule with equipment
submittals and major equipment buy out

Barry Rose WWTP Rehabilitation
• Engineer revising plans per staff comments
• Forester under contract for tree evaluation and
protection plans
• Complete tree evaluation and finalize alternative
to Woody Road alignment
Hatfield Basin Trunk Sewer
• Contractor has completed approximately
60% of the lift station construction
• Currently ahead of schedule
• CenterPoint Energy has set the poles, hung
the transformers, and pulled the wires
Twin Creek Regional Lift Station

Plant Improvements
• Engineer submitted revised final PER
• Engineer submitted 60% plans for staff review
Old Alvin 20” Waterline
• Continued working on easement acquisition
• Returned 90% plans with comments to consultant
BellaVita Waterline Interconnect
• Harris County approved plans
• Project advertised for bid on August 29th
• In discussions with Harris County Flood control
regarding value of easement acquisition for Harris
Co. Flood Control property
SH35 South Water Line
• Tie in complete
• Abandoned 8” waterline and filled with flowable
fill
• August 28th substantial completion walk through
• Surveyor investigating depths of pipelines that are in conflict
• Determining if geotechnical testing can work around areas we do not have a ROE
• Hydraulic analysis complete
• Road elevation will be 2-3 feet above natural ground affecting ROW width
• Engineer reviewing analysis to see if road can be lowered to reduce amount of fill and ROW
