The summer is coming to a close but we won’t be sorry to see the intense tempera-tures be gone. SWS exhibition chair, Gisa Elwazir and her team have the heat turned up a on this year’s Membership Show. Juror, Katherine Chang Liu has chosen a very vibrant show. The PFAMILY Art Center, is a performing art center and the chosen venue for hosting this year’s 47th Annual Member-ship Show. Several of our SWS members will be doing demonstrations during the day

between now and the shows end. We invite everyone to go see this exhibition between now and September 25th. I am very excited about this year we have six great work-shops planned and the Golden representative coming in January. Jonesy McConnell will be hosting the Christmas party, lots of fun and laughs. Gayord O’Con will be heading up our fall paint out to Granbury in October hope you will make plans to come get to know the artists in SWS. We are growing every year with our membership. Organiza-tions thrive because of great members and the bonds of friend-ship. I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new, renewed and future members. I have this quote in my studio so it is a constant reminder every day is a new day “IF YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT CHANGING YOUR LIFE, NOW COULD BE THE TIME TO DO IT.” We meet the 2nd Wednesday of every month September – May See You soon!!!!
