Welcome to Mrs. Jacob’s

8th Grade Science

Classroom!

• The goals for Back-to-School Night:– To help you understand the work your child will be doing throughout the school

year.

– To explain student expectations

– To share information about how you can support your child’s learning.

• I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, and socially. As an educator, I desire to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas.

• I understand that each student may have a different learning style, and I hope to give the children the tools they need to be successful.

• I will incorporate projects, group work, individual work, and hands-on learning in order to make students active learners.
