Baskets for Silent Auction— If you would like to help put baskets together, please come to the rectory basement at 9:00 am, Saturday, September 23. If you have items to add to baskets, bring them at that time. Cakes for the Cake walk— Each family is asked to bring at least one cake for the cake walk. You will receive a free cake walk ticket for each cake. These can be dropped off at the annex across the street from the school anytime between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm on September 30th. Donations needed for the country store— Such as items from your garden, baked goods and crafts. These also may be dropped off at the annex between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Monetary donations are also appreciated to help with expenses. These may be put in the collection basket, mailed to the rectory or dropped off at the raffle table at Septemberfest.
Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a part-time Food Service Assis-tant to help prepare and serve school lunches. The Food Service Assistant will work under the direction of the Food Service Coordinator. Hours are approximately 9:30 – 1:30 on school days. Job responsibilities also in-clude cleaning tasks. Potential candidates should have a positive attitude, be able to lift 40 pounds, and possess a food handler’s permit (or be will-ing to obtain one). Maintenance Position at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish and School Sacred Heart Catholic Parish is seeking a full-time employee to perform maintenance for the buildings and grounds of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish and School. Applicant should have basic carpentry skills and some plumb-ing and electrical knowledge. Position includes lawn care, snow removal and some cleaning. Remembering Our Children—Walk to Remember This is an annual family event for those who have had a pregnancy or infant loss. It is held each fall on the first Sunday in October at 1:00 pm (Oct 1) at Lincoln Memorial Park, 14th and Pine Lake. We meet on the south side of the mausoleum. At 1:00 we walk from that location to “Babyland” where we hold a remembrance program.
