Reena Gambhir’s litigation practice cross-es international borders, with cases aiming to upend alleged price-fixing cartels and human rights violations. Gambhir worked with solicitors in South Africa to obtain a landmark ruling in 2012 that opened the door to a class action alleging price-fixing against various bread producers. She also represents gold miners suffering from sili-cosis in groundbreaking class actions filed in courts in South Africa and in the United Kingdom. In the U.S., Gambhir assisted co-counsel on more than $50 million in set-tlements in 2013 and 2014 for direct pur-chasers of refrigerant compressors. She’s now working with co-counsel on a suit that accuses a dozen major banks of rig-ging foreign-exchange markets.
