September 11, 2001…On this date, kindergartners from all East Lansing Public schools gathered at Spartan Village School to celebrate friendship.

Marian Nelson entertained all of East Lansing’s Kindergartners with a puppet show and songs about Friendship.

The children visited Burcham Hills Retirement center. The children all met a new friend. They shared a snack, sang some songs and read their independent reading books to the Seniors. EVERYONE had a great time!

Mrs. Neugent came to the beehive! Each child made a placemat! The material had bees all over it! The children were curious to see how much material was left after each of us cut out a placemat!

The bees learned that exercise can be fun! We went to Court One East and did aerobic exercise!

The bees chose to celebrate the departure of their classmate, Yeo Jin, by having a sledding party on the hill at Spartan Village! Good by, Yeo Jin! We will miss you! Yeo Jin is leaving the United States to return to Korea!
