ToA: Benchmarks that we have Successfully CompletedPillar 1: Shared Community Vision

1. A cross-sector partnership with a defined geographic scope organizes around a cradle to career vision.– List of partners and their sectors– Building the leadership table (SUNY C2C)/Partnership Table– Geographic scope—location is clear in the Vision and Strategy of Geneva 2020– Partnership forms will include language mentioning the “city and town of Geneva, which serves ### of

students…” to clarify location.

2. A cross-sector leadership table is convened with a documented accountability structure.– List of Steering Committee members– Accountability Structure

Pillar 2: Evidence Based Decision Making1. The partnership selects community level outcomes to be held accountable for improving.

– Roadmap: Outcomes 2. The partnership selects core indicators for the community level outcomes.

Plan to address Pillar 1Creating a Partnership Agreement1. Examples from other SUNY C2C Partners• Which points in the examples resonate with you?• Which points fit with Geneva 2020?• This is YOUR agreement. We don’t have to reinvent the wheel, but we need it to

represent our initiative and our community.

2. Discuss roles, responsibilities, and operating principles of Steering Committee

3. Identify 2-3 members to work with Amy on drafting the Geneva 2020 Partnership Agreement.

Plan to address Pillar 1 (cont.)

Getting our message out• Discuss ideas for sharing information

about Geneva 2020 beyond the partnership.

• Must use consistent language, including logo, tagline, strategy, vision

• What can we share?• Where can we share it?

Page 12: Sept 15 2015 Geneva 2020 Steering Committee Meeting

Pillar 3: Continuous Improvement

05/01/2023 12

• SUNY C2C recommends that continuous improvement be a part of our plan going forward.

• Include language similar to “using continuous improvement to guide the work” in our Partnership Agreement.

• Continuous improvement is to Plan, Do, Check, and Act.• We will always be searching for ways to be stronger and better.• CANs should also commit to a continuous improvement model.

Needs more workPillar 4: Investment and Sustainability

1. An anchor entity is established and capacity to support the daily management of the partnership is in place.• HWS Colleges are the anchor.• Geneva 2020 Program Manager position• Need to work more on building the backbone • Grant/Funding to support a CAN person or data

person• Show support for process, not for programming

Sustainability(cont.)

2. The partnership engages funders to support the operations and collaborative work of partners to improve outcomes.• HWS engaged funders to hire the Geneva 2020 Program

Manager• Need to find funds/process for data collection• If we finalized a process (including funding) for data

collection with school, BOCES, Success for Geneva’s Children, then this would be completed.
