Celebrate Bible Translation Day - 30 September

On 30 September 1966, a ceremony was held to proclaim that day as Bible Translation Day. A Sioux Amerindian from South Dakota, USA, Congressman Ben Reifel had witnessed firsthand the impact that owning the Bible in her language had on his mother, who spoke very little English and who used the Sioux Bible to teach her children about God.
