African Infrastructure

Zimbabwe has one of the weakest infrastructures in the developing countries. The major causes behind the declining infrastructure is the corrupt government, the lack of a stable economy, and lack of technology in the medical field.

What is it about Africa?

What is it that draws pirates, rebels, disease, poverty, and numerous other problems that developed and more developing nations have, for the most part, left behind?

Perhaps, Africa is like a troubled teenager, getting in trouble and showing all the signs that scream for help. So what about its childhood has led to such a troubled life now?

Uganda and East Africa

It would be difficult to find a place on Earth more desolate and desperate, sunk into a deeper poverty than many of the inhabitants of the various regions of the continent of Africa.

Does the dark history of slavery and colonialism that many parts of Africa experienced hover in the background of this issue?

Why are today’s Africans so poor when their land and geographic location contain a wealth of possibility?

Gangs do not always follow a criminal path of behavior though. Just as with the first definitions, these only match a portion of the gang population. Jim Short added his own definition to the masses already out there, "Gangs are groups whose members meet together with some regularity over time, on the basis of group-defined criteria of membership and group-defined organizational characteristics; that is, gangs are non-adult-supervised, self-determining groups that demonstrate continuity over time” (UIC).

Since the Apache inherited rifles in the mid 1800s, the Taliban would have a hard time suppressing the Apache. The Taliban seem to be of a force that hides in buildings and waits for the enemy to pass so they can attack. If they were to be out in the open, the Apache would blend in with their environment and give the Taliban a hard time even finding them, as the Taliban have given the US military a hard time tracking them.

Future of Warfare: A Global Perspective

Bryan’s most famous speech, “The Cross of Gold,” during the 1896 presidential campaign, highlighted this issue. In the early twentieth century, Bryan became a firm supporter of trust-busting and economic regulation. The Free Silver Movement and Bryan’s belief in economic regulation highlight important strengths and flaws in American liberalism – while it allows for better equality between rich and poor, regulation and inflation lead to economic stagnation and, ultimately, collapse.

Like the United States, China is going through a period of transition concerning its health care system.

Similar to most countries’ distribution of health care, China’s system varies according to location.

The urban areas of the countries are well off, with “six in [ten]” (Forney) citizens of China’s urban population possessing health insurance of some kind.

This situation, although not uncommon since an economic difference typically exists between the rich and the poor, or in this case, the rural and urban population.

Breast cancer is highly treatable if caught in the early stages, that’s why the likelihood of dying from breast cancer is 56 percent in the poorest countries (because of the lack of technology), 39 percent in middle income countries, while its only 24 percent in the wealthier countries that can afford this expensive, yet advanced technology (Poor).

55 percent of the 450,000 reported deaths will be in countries that do not have the proper technology to diagnose or even treat the disease (Poor). Sadly, approximately only 5 percent of the global resources for cancer are spent in the developing world (Poor).

Studies of twins suggest that heritability is 0.7 for autism and 0.9 for the broader autism phenotype, and siblings of those with autism are about 25 times more likely to be autistic than the general population.(Jody Becker) However, most of the mutations that increase autism risk have not been identified.

Education and Leadership

China, the sleeping giant of the world, may try to project an image of perfection to other countries, but China’s problems have become apparent to the rest of us.

China’s education system, while rigorous and effective in urban areas, seriously falls behind when it comes to rural towns and the countryside.

Targeted urbanisation has contributed to this growing divide between urban and rural education, resulting in harm to the students in rural schools and leaving them the name “left-behind children”. As of now, there are about 58 million left-behind children in rural China, 69 percent of which are under 14 years old (ACFW).
