Chose during sophomore year

Changed due to complications

Chose booklet to help others organize a production

Wanted to make things simpler and easier to understand

System can be overwhelming

RESEARCH QUESTIONS “What are the origins of the play “Spring

Awakening”, and what was the culture like in late nineteenth century Germany?”

How do I effectively cast my production?

What techniques of directing do I need to understand?

What kinds of costumes and makeup will I need to incorporate into my project?

What additional stage terminology will I need to know?

RESEARCH TECHNIQUES

Directing is a very interpretive subject so I had to use many different resources

Create personal technique

Many rules contradicted one another

Research Struggles

Missing a lot of school

Had to complete large amounts of work in short period

Pick out certain sections

Sorting out the accurate information

Lack of information for time period (1890’s)

Infotrac better for interviews

New stage terminology
