ABSTRACT
TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY CONTROL SYSTEM
USING GRAPHIC LCD AND ARM CONTROLLER
In the textile mills, a particular range of temperature and humidity have to
be maintained for effective storage and production purposes. In this project, we
have interfaced temperature and humidity sensors to the powerful ARM
microcontroller to sense atmospheric temperature and humidity.
The sensed temperature and humidity values are displayed on the Graphic
LCD. In the normal conditions, the relay is turned on, indicating that the values
are in the required range. When the upper threshold level is crossed, a red LED
is turned ON and when lower threshold level is crossed, a green LED is turned
ON. The interfaced relay turns on the controlling devices like dehumidifiers etc
when the red LED is ON. Hence monitoring of the room temperature and
humidity is accomplished by maintaining a database. The database consists of
temperature and humidity values at regular intervals of time.
A menu is created in the Graphic LCD. Further submenus are created
which consist of provisions for setting the lower and upper threshold limits.
Pixel font and Fast LCD softwares are used to create the LOGOS. Program
compilation is done using the KEIL software .This program is loaded to the
ARM microcontroller using the Philips utility software.
