Seminary String Camp 2011 Liability Waiver FormThis form must be signed and returned to the Seminary String Camp Directors with String Camp Registration Form. The signature below must be that of the student (where he or she is of legal age), or a parent or guardian of the student(s) registered for and/or attending the Camp.
In consideration of my/our participation in the Seminary String Camp for 2011, I do hereby release, discharge and covenant to hold harmless the instructors, staff, and volunteer assistants of the Seminary String Camp, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, its officers, trustees, employees, agents, advisors, administrators, and their heirs and assigns from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of action present or future on account of any injuries (including illness) to my person or property, or the person or property of my minor child, arising out of or in connection with our participation in the Seminary String Camp or the use of the property and facilities of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I agree that any injury or accident that occurs because of my or my child’s violation of Seminary String Camp policies shall be solely the responsibility of the student or his or her parent(s) or guardian(s).
I also understand that photos, audiorecordings, or videorecordings of myself or my child may be taken or recorded by the Seminary String Camp and used for promotional purposes by The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary or the Seminary String Camp and I hereby grant my permission to do so.

Welcome to Seminary String Camp!Seminary String Camp is an opportunity for young string players to grow musically, spiritually, and personally, led by encouraging, professional instructors, coaches, and conductors. Classes are small and students are with others at their age and level. It is an exciting week of learning, cham-ber and orchestral playing, music and movement, and more!
Our faculty includes:• Scott Bersaglia, Orchestra • Neal Green, Violin• Robin Chappars, Cello • Samuel Meade, Viola• Cheri Lyons Kelley, Violin • Giancarlo Montemayor, Guitar and Chamber Music • Malinda Rawls, Violin• Wayne Krigger, Music & Movement • Cara Lee Smith, Violin and Orchestra • Leila Trindade, Violin
They include professional symphony musicians and faculty members from Campbellsville University, University of Louisville, Indiana University Southeast, Louisville Academy of Music, and Seminary School of the Arts.
We are located in Cooke Hall, a newly-renovated facility with recital space, classrooms, and practice rooms on Southern Seminary’s beautiful campus. Parking is free.
We have a class for every student, from beginners of any age to ad-vanced, with repertory ranging from classical, sacred, and Baroque to contemporary, fiddle, and new works composed or arranged for our orchestras.
Faculty Showcase Recital will be Monday, June 13, featuring cellist Rob-in Chappars (Quartet Louisville, Seminary Orchestra, Louisville Academy of Music), violinist Rebecca Neely (U of Louisville Quartet), and violist Samuel Meade (Southern Seminary). Families are invited to attend!
Master Class with master teacher and Keep Louisville Symphonic violin-ist Cheri Lyons Kelley! Students on violin and viola playing at Suzuki Book 4 level and above may apply. Audition CD with a prepared piece of the student’s choice is due by May 6.
Our Advanced Orchestra Conductor is Dr. Scott Bersaglia. He is conduc-tor of the Seminary Orchestra, serves on the faculty of Campbellsville University, and is founding director of the Sacred Winds Ensemble.
Instrument Rental. Mark Edwards Violins is offering a String Camp Special of $16 for any instrument for the month of June. Parents must pick up instruments by Fri., June 10. Call 502 239-2423 or go to www.markedwardsviolins.com.
