QBIT Africa and the Durban Chamber of Commerce are collaborating to create a thinking space for business leaders where they have the opportunity to re-envisage their organisation, work and people data as a critical enabler of relevant businesses of the future.

This seminar provides a forum for dialogue on future concerns and strategic planning for business in KwaZulu-Natal. As business leaders, we are continually required to interpret organisational strategy in the context of volatile, fast-paced markets, exible business operating models, policies and processes, technology and people. There is also a great need to discuss common business transformation concerns for KwaZulu-Natal that impact products, services, revenue growth and business performance.

QBIT Africa and the Durban Chamber of Commerce has recognised the need for a thinking space where KwaZulu-Natal business leaders will be able to engage as thinking partners and re-consider the role of a robustly architected organisation in preparing their businesses to be relevant and agile in the inevitable uncertainty of tomorrow.

This event has been designed to facilitate these discussions, guided by QBIT and with strategic business and thinking partners like GIBS, Centre for Creative Leadership (CCL) and IBM. QBIT is an established thought leader who is able to partner you in your data-led business transformation in the context of organisation, work and people.

You will walk away from this event having been challenged by topical, dierentiated and innovative thinking and information sharing.

BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION - GAINING COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE THROUGH ORGANISATION, WORK AND PEOPLE DATA

SEMINAR PROGRAMME

08:30 – 09:00 Opening address and welcome: Facilitator | Kwanele Gumbi, CEO, Gumbi Global

09:00 – 10:00 1. The role of digital transformation for business growth | Can your technology support the digital transformation for your organisation?

As functional re-alignment is considered, the enablement thereof is imperative to underpin the new operating model. How capable is your current technology stack in supporting the responsiveness and integration of data?

How well do you understand the Articial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and its application? Where will Robotic Process Automation (RPA) play a foundational role in improved and Customer Experience management? How should technology integrate product, channel and customer views as one?

So, let’s understand an approach to pursue what may be seen as a daunting journey to dening the organisational and people transformation journey for future-t organisations. The debate around structure and exibility is on-going.

The pendulum swings depending on who is positioning a solution. Understanding the organisation’s hybrid requirement around “structured exibility” needs to be explored, contextualised, designed and implemented.

Having clear, targeted, measurable and implementable solutions that drive innovation with a trusted advisor becomes a game-changer.

BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION - GAINING COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE THROUGH ORGANISATION, WORK AND PEOPLE DATA

SEMINAR PROGRAMME

13:15 – 14:00 4. What's the impact on your leadership capability | Have you built an agile muscle in your leadership?

Leadership capability and their role in driving the change is a key contributor to systematic and sustainable change; break-away sessions and motivational chats are not sucient.

How should change be understood and driven throughout the fabric of the organisation, at all levels, in manageable and iterative execution.

At the core of any organisation are its organisational capabilities that dene products and service customers and/or channels.

With the application of Articial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Robotic Process Automation, key considerations need to be taken into account when designing jobs that will meet the business strategy.
