While one of the best insurances against deer damage is a fence, a more aesthetically pleasing approach would be with trees and shrubs, specifically those that are deer resist- ant. Tastes, preferences and digestibility vary with a plants age, stage of growth and time of year. When selecting your trees, shrubs, annuals and perenni- als be mindful that this list says “resistant” and not “proof”.
