We are proud of the bulls which we have to offer as they are sound, hairy,muscular, long bodied breeding machines that are designed to last for manybreeding seasons. It’s a great time to be in the cattle business and, as consignors to this 20127th Annual Select Genetics Sale, we appreciate our good fortune and wish toshare it with a very deserving family in our community whose daughter, Rahimay,has been diagnosed with Childhood Absence Epilepsy. We are hoping to raiseenough to help offset some of the costs involved in her valiant battle to be likeany other little girl with a normal life.

that treat it, is incredible but she does it and we are very

proud of her!

Sometimes Rahimay has difficulty simply remember-

ing what she has learned and practiced. Words that she can

read and write or math facts that she knows on one particu-

lar day can become "lost" by the next day. We don't really

understand why this happens but it is likely a combination

of seizure activity in her brain and side effects from her

medicine. It seems like information isn't stored in an or-

ganized way in her brain and it takes a lot of energy and

effort for her to retrieve the information from a new "spot"

everytime.

Until Rahimay I had never realized how complex and

complicated our daily thinking really is and how much

most of us take for granted the ease with which we can

process, organize, and can't imagine how hard it must be to

"just think". This is my heartache, this is how Rahimay

faces every day and every "simple", ordinary task that

most other children successfully understand.

DONATION HEIFER AUCTION PROCEDURE

1.The final bid in each round will denote the amount ofthat bidder’s donation. Example:Round 1 - Final Bid is $300.00 to John Doe. Tom’s Donation is $250.00Round 3 - The Female is re-auctioned on a downward scale until no further bids are received at the low of $10.00

2.Each $10 purchased (donated) represents one chancein the final draw, e.g. John Doe has 30 chances, TomJones has 25 chances and so on down the scale tothe final $10.00 donation worth one chance each.

Terms: The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, or previously

arranged financing. Settlement is to be made following the completion

of the sale, to the clerks of the sale. Animals will not be released until

settlement is made. All monies are in Canadian funds.

dispuTes: Bidding will be re-opened between the parties involved in

a dispute. If there is no advance by either party, the buyer will be the

person from which the auctioneer received the last bid. The auction-

eer’s decision is final in these cases.

announcemenTs: All announcements made from the block will

take precedence over any printed material from the catalogue. There-

fore buyers should pay close attention for such announcements.

breeding guaranTee: All cattle are sold as sound and right

and sell with a “Responsible Breeder’s Guarantee of Satisfaction”. In

the unlikely event of a dispute, the regular sale terms and conditions,

standard with the Canadian Angus Association shall apply.

soundness evaluaTion: All bulls will have passed evaluation

for physical & reproductive soundness by a veterinarian. All bulls will

be semen tested prior to delivery and will have be accompanied, at time

of delivery, by a semen certificate that meets or exceeds the CAA stan-

dard of 70% .

liabiliTies: All people attending the sale do so at their own risk.

Although every precaution will be made to ensure the safety and pro-

tection of both buyer and the livestock, the auctioneer and the sellers

accept no responsibility in this matter and disclaim any liability, legal

or otherwise, in the event of an accident or loss of property.

risk: Ownership risk to the purchaser commences when the auction-

eers hammer falls. Insurance is available sale day.

delivery: We will deliver the bulls to you free of charge in April.

Please leave instructions for delivery at time of settlement. Each animal

becomes the responsibility of the purchaser as soon as sold. We

strongly encourage that bulls going back to the consignors’ to await de-

livery be insured as they will be left at owner’s risk.

sighT unseen: For sight unseen purchases contact Shane Castle or

any of the Sale Staff and they will make every attempt to pick a bull

that suits your needs. If you are not happy with their selection you are

righTs & obligaTions: The above terms and conditions of the

sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller and be
