Dear Chamber Friends,
September leaves us with beautiful sunny days and crisp mornings. It was a
month of celebration around Selah and for the Selah Chamber of Commerce.
First we were thrilled to announce the Chamber’s award winners –Business of
the Year: Broadway Bound, Member of the Year: Clay Graham and Emerging
Business of the Year: Artistic Minds. We were so pleased to honor the
contributions they each make to Selah. Next the Selah Base Race and Fall
Festival turned Carlon Park into a hub of family fun. The Chamber served
breakfast to over 300 hundred runners! It was great to see whole families, co-
workers and friends enjoying the morning running with over a hundred
Japanese soldiers through the Yakima Training Center. Finally last week the
whole town joined in to celebrate the “Viking Way” with Selah School Districts
homecoming week. It was great to see all the pride displayed from our
business community!
Friday, October 7th kicks off our 12th annual Cowgirl Up For A Cure! Grab your
friends and get your tickets now ladies to join us for a boot stompin’ good time.
We’ll have all your favorite things, terrific food from Staci’s catering, shopping
bling from over 20 vendors, fun adult beverages, cowboy servers a star
studded fashion show & so much more! Give Glenda a jingle at the Chamber
698-7303 and lock down your tickets now cuz we won’t be selling at the door.
This year our event benefits North Star Lodge for all the fabulous work they
do.
Thank you Selah businesses, your support and generosity make our town a
wonderful place to live.
God bless,
Jean Brown
