Summer is flying by and the heat has arrived. I hope you got out to enjoy the 4th of July celebration, the food was great, the entertainment was the best, and it was all topped off by a fabulous fireworks show. Thank you to everyone that participated in the Selah Chamber’s 50/50 raffle too!! Nice job Selah Parks & Rec. Department!
I hope you can join us for the Selah Chambers 55th Anniversary Celebration on September 7th at Tailgaters from 5:00-7:30pm. You’ll see lots of information with details coming soon, but be sure to save the date. Coming soon you’ll have a chance to nominate some outstanding businesses in Selah to be recognized at the Anniversary party. Be on the lookout for the details and plan to party with us, it’s going to be a lot of fun!
If you’re interested in getting your business name in front of lots of people consider sponsoring some of the Chamber’s upcoming events. The Fall is a busy time with the Selah Base Race, Cowgirl Up for a Cure, and the Chamber Trick or Treat on Halloween. You’ll see a lot more information about all of these events but reach out if you’d like to secure your sponsorship now.

JAPANESE HOME VISIT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Critical Criteria includes: No previous criminal backgrounds, can get onto the base (federal background check cleared, have a passport or enhance driver's license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance) They would need to send me a copy of their driver's license with the attached registration form and tell me that you are part of the Selah Chamber. THE SINGING COWBOY!! Please come out and enjoy the music of the "Singing Cowboy" Gregg Waggoner, with Bible Baptist Church on Saturday, Aug 19th @ the covered stage in Selah at Wixson Park from Noon - 3 p.m. Also, he will be with us @ Bible Baptist Church (20 Tibbling Rd) on Sun. Aug 20th 11 a.m. & 6 p.m. No charge and the public is welcome to both events.
4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION!
Thank you so much to everyone that came out
to the 4th of July Celebration at Carlon Park. A
special thank you to everyone that supported
the Selah Chamber’s 50/50 raffle! We also have
to send out a BIG SHOUT OUT to Jen, the winner
of the $200.00 jackpot who graciously donated
her winnings back to the Selah Chamber!! Thank
you Jen!! You are awesome!!
We appreciated seeing the huge turnout for the
event, especially with the extreme heat! The
Selah Community is the best!

year!

ENTERTAINMENT AT RIVER RIDGE!!
We have an exclusive show coming up Aug 18th from 6-9pm at River
Ridge. The Shades are coming up from Tri Cities to show Selah what a
good time looks like! They have been a band for 35 years and have a
local DJ legend as the lead singer. They have never played up here, but
are excited to come up and would love to see as many Selah residents
as possible.
Admission is $10, All Ages welcome. Tickets available at River Ridge

Espresso & Yogurt and Michael McKay, owner of
Selah Smiles. Kristin was also elected to be our
Chamber Board secretary! We are very excited to
have them on board and look forward to all of
the new and fresh ideas they will bring to the
Chamber!

RELAY FOR LIFE
There is also a 24 hour soccer
jamboree that happens at the
same time as Relay for Life. If you

The Selah Chamber of Commerce is always looking for
new and exciting main speakers for our Selah Chamber
General Membership meetings. We have had a wide
range of topics over the years and if you know of someone
or if that someone is you, please give us a call! The main
speaker is given 20-25 minutes to speak and we have a
projector & screen available (upon request). You would
have to bring your own laptop.
The Selah Chamber meetings are held at the Selah Civic
Center on the 4th Wed. of the month. FREE lunch is
served at 11:30am followed by the meeting at noon.
Hosting a Business After Hours through the
Selah Chamber of Commerce is a great way to
connect with other businesses and people in
our community! Normally, the Business After
Hours is held the 4th Thursday of the month,
but you can hold it whenever it works best for
you! Please contact us TODAY to set up your
Business After Hours!

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY!!
The Selah Chamber of Commerce is offering an opportunity to
our members to sponsor our monthly luncheon. We are looking
for businesses to sponsor our lunch either by donating the lunch
itself (if you own a food establishment) or by being a sponsor
and paying for the lunch. In return, we will prominently
display your business logo in our monthly newsletter and also
on our FACEBOOK page as our lunch sponsor for that month.
