The World’s Leading Geometry and Statics Solution

Seismic StudioTM is the premier statics solution for challenging land andmarine data sets where shallow subsurface velocity and geometry prob-lems degrade the quality of seismic data. In addition, geometry problemscan be identified and corrected.

2D and 3D Geometry Corrections & First Break Picking

Robust seismic processing requires accurate geometries, yet typical landand marine OBC surveys often have errors in source and/or receiver loca-tions that can significantly degrade the integrity of the seismic data andlater processing workflows. Seismic Studio interactively determines seis-mic geometry errors and allows the user to correct them with ease.

Interconnected windowsallow the user to pick firstbreaks simultaneously inseveral sort planes. Auto-matic picking and guidedpicking speed up theprocess, as well as pickprediction based on analysisof sparsely picking every“Nth” source gather.

At a Glance

• 2D and 3D geometry setup

and verification

• Numerous methods and

displays to expedite first break

picking

• Refraction statics

• Tomographic statics

• Stack comparison of statics

solutions

• Anisotropy analysis

Example of geo-

metry correction

and its impact on

the quality of first

break picks.

Refraction Statics

Seismic Studio provides numerous diagnostic displays for the analysis and creation of the near surfacemodel and computation of refraction statics.

Assigning first break picks to refractor ranges.

Refractor velocities.

Cross-section of model can be seen in

arbitrary orientations.

Refractor delay times.

Tomographic Statics

When refraction statics can't addressall of the complexities of the shallowvelocity field, such as high-velocityzones in low-velocity layers, tomo-statics can provide the answer. Seis-mic Studio includes a verysophisticated hybrid tomostatics al-gorithm that is designed to addressthe most difficult velocity challengesin complex geologic settings.

Stacking Capability

A powerful feature in Seismic Studio is the ability to perform stack comparisons of your statics solutions in anyorientation through your 3D data.

Cross-section of tomographic model.

Stack comparison of elevation statics vs. hybrid tomographic statics.

Anisotropy Analysis

Seismic Studio analyzes the degree of anisotropy present in your data.

Vectors indicate the direction of high refractor velocity and colors represent the percent difference between slow and fast

velocities.
