DPSGGN, NEWSLETTER, MARCH 2018
At DPS, our mission is to develop in our students, a strong sense of self-worth and responsibility to prepare them
to become life-long learners and responsible citizens of ‘tomorrow’. Our aim is to teach our students “how to
think rather than what to think”. Each child is unique and dear to us as he/she is to you. We aim to inculcate in
our students, a sense of national pride integrated with global mindedness. We believe in laying down a strong
foundation for multi-dimensional learning, ethical value systems, contemporary life skills and excellence in
academics in our students.
The children were full of enthusiasm and zest as the month of March passed by. It was wonderful to have the
corridors ringing with their happy voices before they went on their session break. The month witnessed a lot of
excitement all over the school campus. Let’s have an overview of the exhilaration of the month gone by.
PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL
An insight into the world of our little ones….
GRADUATION DAY
Every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow.
It seemed as if our current academic session 2017-2018 came to an end very soon as we witnessed the Graduation
Day of our Kindergarten students. To honour of the time spent together with the babies and send them off to a
bright and successful future, we celebrated the Graduation day. It was a moment of pride as well as a little
melancholic for the teachers as they let go of the little ones that they had come to love as their own babies. May
our little ones have a wonderful journey ahead.
The day was made special and significant by various performances. The Ganesh Vandana and Fusion Dance
added life to the show. Parents of our Kindergarten students, Mrs. Aradhana and Mrs. Shandilya shared their
experience with the School and gave a feedback on their child’s development in the school with everyone. It was
a pleasure to see the little ones with their Graduation Certificates in their hands.

We are the change that we seek.
With the aim of nurturing the artistic aptitudes of our students, the first Talent show of Grades I and II titled
‘Fusion’, was organized in the school. On this delightful occasion, the students showcased their skills and brought
out their undiscovered talent through a fusion of various Western and Indian music and dance. Children
performed extremely well and everyone praised their efforts. The function brought out the best in our students.
They impressed one and all with their ability to blend Indian and Western art forms effortlessly.

FUN TIME!
With the stress of exams getting over, it was now time to have some fun for our students!
Adventure camp to Lohagarh-
“What is life but a grand adventure.”
Going on a school trip means more than simply leaving the
school premises, it means spending time with each other and
bonding in a new environment. While the purpose is essentially
to edify, such trips serve a dual purpose of nurturing young
minds and strengthening friendships.
Keeping this basic ethos in mind, an enthralling adventurous
trip was organized on Wednesday, March 14 2018, for our

students of Grades I to VII, to experience the simplicity of life at Lohagarh Farms, Gurugram. It was a day full
of fun activities wherein our children had no targets and competitions in mind. Students were delighted to explore
and experience rural way of life. Some of the key attractions for the kids were Pottery, Camel Ride, Bullock Ride,
Tractor Ride, Team-Building Activities, Archery, Shooting, Tug of War, Mehndi, Mud-Bath and much more. All
activities were carried under expert supervision by trained instructors using safety measures at all times. For the
younger ones, it was a wonderful way to end the session and for the older children, it was a good stress reliever
after the term exams.
The trip was a memorable one, which encouraged the students to keep alive the memories of our old legacy.

SPORTS BUZZ:
Let’s play on!
In every sport, players are remembered for their sportsman
spirit. Cricket is no exception. Our Principal exhibited her
batting skills by enthusiastically participating in the T-10
matches that were held in school. The cricket fever gripped
everyone without exception and each one showed their
prowess on the field. The nail biting finish kept the audience
on tenterhooks till the last ball. With a promise to replicate
the exercise in the new session, the students went off for their
session break.

PARENT FEEDBACK: YOUR OPINION MATTERS
Parents of Grades I & II were invited to school to be a part of the ‘Talent Show’ of their little ones. This is
what they had to say about their experience:
We felt good to attend the Talent Show by children grade 1 and 2 on 08/03/2018.
I sincerely appreciate the quality time put in by the Principal, class teacher and other teachers
involved in the same. The vision and mission values are intact and I can see the translation through
it.
The hard worked put in by each one of you is magnificent and is always adding in children. This
was one of the best event I have attended.
You deserve the mail for appreciation for this event organized and also on core values you keep,
I think this will always add to DPS Sec 84 glory and grace.
I remember a true line: “Some schools expect from child to be an all-rounder, but you don’t
expect you really build that in a child”. I see these values here, believe me it’s a greatest thing
you are doing!!
